The property is along the River and was an interesting building. Staff were helpful. Breakfast room door was locked until after 8am and we needed to knock. No coffee available at all prior. No fans in room on hot days. Valdivia has little to offer

This is an excellent 3+-4 star hotel with location and facilities (restaurant, spa and pool) other than the room closer to 4+. It has a restaurant with excellent breakfast but one evening we tried to use the hotel restaurant for dinner and it was closed by 8:45 pm. But the location on the promenade of the Calle-Calle river saved the day. A 5 minute walk down the river was a very good local grill (Parrilla de Thor) open until midnight serving local dishes & beer (great empanadas). And we felt quite safe wandering along the promenade at 10 pm at night, but might not have felt the same heading into downtown. The next day we wandered along the promenade to the local fish market (15-20 min walk) to see the sea lions and vultures hanging around the fresh fish. This is also where all the tour boats for river cruises leave from. The botanical gardens and cultural museum in the University grounds across the river are also worth a visit and very easy to access by car from the hotel. Room and bathroom were small but adequate, and parking under the hotel was a bit of a challenge with rather tight spaces. In an unfamiliar rental car that can't be scratched it was a bit nerve racking. You get what you pay for, but in this case maybe a bit more than the very reasonable cost. Also, almost no one speaks English. There was only one staff member who was on the night shift who spoke reasonable English. If this is something you don't want to deal with using Google translate, which works really well, then this hotel and maybe Valdivia as a whole are not for you.

Nothing Hard to find. Lots of stairs and no elevator. Tiny bathroom. No WiFi in room. No dining after 3pm, no lounge, no bar. WiFi available in ‚teenager‘s recreation room‘, so good luck with work/zoom there. Shockingly diluted coffee for breakfast.

Very hard to find. Drove past it on busy street several times. NEEDS BETTER SIGNAGE! See above
