Our stay at Sugar Stars Inn for 3 nights turned out to be much more than just a hotel stay — it became a part of our spiritual journey in Varanasi. The location is excellent, allowing easy access to the ghats and the sacred temples, which made our daily visits for darshan, Ganga Aarti, and early morning walks by the Ganga very convenient. Waking up in Kashi itself feels different — there is a calmness and devotion in the air, and staying at a peaceful place like this added to the overall experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff was polite and helpful throughout our stay. After long hours at the ghats and temples, coming back to a quiet room felt very relaxing. Of course, a stay in Varanasi also teaches you detachment ? — the restaurant closes around 10 pm, so late-night food lovers need to plan in advance as room service for meals isn’t available after that. Also, the room and washroom sizes were a bit smaller than they appear in the photos, but honestly, when you spend most of your time on the ghats, in temples, or soaking in the spiritual energy of the city, you hardly notice these things. What made this stay special was the divine vibe of Varanasi itself — the sound of temple bells, the chants near the river, and the feeling that every moment here carries something timeless and sacred. Overall, a very good stay if you are visiting Kashi not just as a tourist, but as a pilgrim looking for peace, devotion, and a truly spiritual experience. ?✨ A small lighter note on the not-so-perfect parts of our stay at Sugar Stars Inn — the restaurant closes around 10 pm, so late-night food options are limited and there is no room service available for meals after that. Also, the room and washroom sizes felt slightly smaller than what the pictures suggest. That said, in Varanasi you end up spending most of your time at the ghats, temples, and in the spiritual atmosphere of the city, so these things don’t really bother you much — you just learn to adjust, which somehow feels very in sync with the Kashi experience itself. ?

we just loved the place.boys were really trying hard to make us comfortable, like they were really nice.i was not happy with location when i booked but than it was great to get away from the riverfront and everything there.Food was good as well.

The staff was amazing, they ensured personal care to make sure our stay was pleasant. There were lots of international guests staying at the property. The towels and the breakfast buffet variety, but staff was able to provide new towels and personalized breakfast options.

Toilet paper is also something that you had to request and not available as you go. These are basic toiletries that should be available to every room. They charge significant amount for the breakfast but barely 2-3 items available to eat. Cafeteria is nice and cozy but was hot as it is located on the rooftop with no ventilation but just glass walls. Made it super hot but constantly Had to request to turn the AC on. They are understaffed. Barely 5-6 people who welcome you, help you with anything you need and serve in cafeteria.
