Close to the train station (10min by foot) & nice kitchen - as a blanket, they provided a winter duvet (outisde it was 40 degrees) - WiFi did not work properly

Superb

Benaras invited me first to herself and later to ITH. I say that because everything fell in place as soon as I walked into the pretty abode that I chose for myself. It was my home for six days straight with nothing better I could've asked for. The pretty room opening to beautiful plants and sunlight seeping straight from the window! I woke up to the sound of birds each day and awakened with the refreshing chai made by Rajesh Ji. The team, including Bikash Ji, Rajesh Ji, and Ranjit Ji, ensured that I'm bereft of even the slightest inconvenience. They encouraged me to wander the city like a free bird and instilled enough faith about Benarasis that I felt like one of them. I could write a memoir about my experiences, but for now, just know that if Benaras chooses you, choose ITH.

The worst hostel with Dorm inside dorm, and full of stinky smell and mosques Nothing

The staff was super nice. I was there on Holi and they organised a "Home-Holi". Very fun. The place is cozy with a nice and quite garden.

A lot of mosquitos and our room smelled a lot, presumably due to people burning incense sticks before. Shared bathroom wasn't too clean

Quiet oasis away from the chaos of Old Varanasi We booked the triple room which was spacious, clean and had great natural light Very kind and helpful staff Beautiful garden and upper deck sitting area with thoughtful touches like candles at night Everything was accurately listed so we were aware of this before booking so was not an issue. But for those booking, be aware that most rooms have a shared bathroom and that the accom is a 15-20 minute rickshaw from old town.

Its proximity to the railway station If you identify yourself as a mosquito you can stay here . I personally hold the record of killing 34 mosquitoes in one bathroom sitting . Totaled over 50-60 over three days . You literally have nothing to do but to kill mosquitoes in the facility. Even in the 4 bed dorm it's a ritual to kill mosquitoes before we go to sleep . The dorm bed type specified on the page isn't clear , there is a 6 bed dorm and a 4 bed dorm. The 6 bed dorm is in an OPEN area , the female dorm and 4 bed dorm are connected through the 6 bed dorm , they converted a common area into a dorm basically. Basic rice dal is 200 bucks (food was ok) , laundry doing it yourself is 200. Overall, it's ok (if you literally have no options) if you want to Transit between the Railway station and city . Otherwise avoid .

Property is a friendly atmosphere for fellow travellers My room was filled with mosquitoes, no ceiling fan. I was scared to sleep without full dressing. I lost the room keys , and I was asked to pay rupees 850 for a replacement , which I felt is a bit unfair. Since the hotel didn’t have a spare key, they ordered an extra one with replacement and I was asked to pay for it, after a long argument I gave 650 rupees as a compensation.

I had an amazing stay in a private room—cozy, well-maintained, and absolutely worth the price! From the smart washroom to the comfortable bed, everything was thoughtfully designed for a great experience. The property’s location is unbeatable—less than 1 km from Varanasi Junction, making it super convenient. The overall vibe of the place is fantastic, with a beautiful wooden aesthetic that adds warmth and charm. The garden area is a perfect spot to unwind, and in the evenings, the staff lights candles, creating a magical and peaceful ambiance. It truly enhances the experience! I also checked out the dorms, and they looked equally impressive. As someone who works while traveling, I really appreciated the seamless WiFi connectivity. Huge shoutout to the incredible team managing the property—especially Bikash bhaiya, who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a pleasant and hassle-free stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Varanasi. The perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere—can’t wait to return! Nothing as such. The only downside could be that the place is not near to ghat. But, from the main road you get transportation very easily in less than 50rs. So it works great too.

Amazing room and great ambience. Super comfortable. Owner was great and when I accidently paid twice he immediately rectified the issue . Room and outside was great , and great ambience . Nothing per se , just a suggestion to construct a couple more washrooms ?

Location - 5 max 10 minutes walk to the VNS Railway Junction station. Staff - Bikash Singh the manager is extremely helpful and has an eye for details. He goes out of the way to make the roomies feel like one big family. Breakfast - is simple mostly Paratha and achar or poha NA

The stay was comfortable. The staff was kind and welcoming. I would stay there again.
