Hotel Fontana

I traveled with my young adult daughter and we both LOVED Hotel Fontana! The location was wonderful and the front desk clerk, Gabriel, was lovely. He gave us recommendations and told us how to get to certain places (which routes for island boats). He was friendly and I love that it is a family-run hotel. The room was huge and we could have fit up to 5 people comfortably if we needed to. The optional breakfast was delicious! I HIGHLY recommend staying here. No complaints at all. An ideal stay in a charming city!

The staff was tremendously helpful. Very knowledgeable and thorough in giving info and advice. Ideal location - close to San Marco/DOGE but far enough away to be quiet.

Room was very small. Breakfast was very minimal and poor value. We had to leave the key at the front desk every time we left the hotel.

The owner was wonderful. The bed was comfortable. Very clean. A perfect spot to rest while exploring Venice

Great location, breakfast was good, bed comfy, bathroom & water pressure great. Has a lift and secure entry. Really close to major attractions, gondolas, resturants & bars. Quiet at night. Close to the airport ferry dock at San Zaccaria - do not let Google maps tell you any other stop. Staff were helpful with directions and arranging tours & transfers.

Staff was super friencly and very helpful. Family owned and their pride in their hotel and pleasing their guests was evident. Room was so quaint, comfortable, and clean. Very close for me, a senior to walk to main attractions.

Great location on a small piazza just a few minutes away from San Marco. Also just a few minutes from the nearest vaporetto stop. Has the personal touch as a family run hotel. We have stayed here both times we have visited Venice and will definitely stay here when we visit again. As a bonus there are two English language news stations available on the television. Could have used a larger fruit selection at breakfast--maybe some bananas, but otherwise no complaints.

The location is amazing, very close to San Marco and boat transportation. Breakfast was decent, staff was pleasant, reliable elevator. I stayed in the single room and it hasn’t been upgraded for ages. Very hard bed, small amount of water in the shower. It’s the most basic of the basic rooms. Maybe the bigger ones are different. There was some confusion about breakfast, which I thought was included in the price.

Breakfast was excellent. Whole place was clean and well run. Upon leaving I told the owner, "Now I will give you a list of my complaints... We will miss you!" The staff was more than helpful, kind, friendly and the whole experience couldn't have been better. I'd almost go back to Venice, just to stay there and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. I could have come earlier and stayed longer. ... LOL Nothing. Maybe it spoiled us for staying other places.

Great breakfast staff especially Diego outstanding 5 minutes from place saint marco Need to completely change their tv service and have many international channels like FOX DW EURONEWS I would have given them a 10 if tv was not bad

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent-just steps from a vaporetto stop and close to San Marco Square. There is an elevator, too.

Hotel located 5 minute walk from San Marco square. Hosts were very kind, cool and good guys, they explained everything what I asked with pleasure and from the heart! It was example of good hospitality! My mom visited Italy first time and she is in love with Italian people and hospitality? Everything was perfect!

Staff were very helpful and offered suggestions for great dining options in the area.
