Room was nice, big, clean and with a view to the rear which means it was quiet, as the B&B is located on one of the main and busy roads in Vibo (very close to McDonald's). Bathroom was clean, with hot water and a bidet, and a bathtub with a shower. Clean white towels, but with a funny smell of cooked food. The ceiling in the bathroom was quite low. I am not a tall person, but it would be a problem for tall people. Water in the bathroom was not very clean, a bit yellowish in colour, but it could be because of problems with the town's depuration system, maybe. Good lighting in both the room and the bathroom, there was a blow drier in the bathroom but I didn't use it, and air conditioner was functional. Bed was a double, with a comfortable mattress (maybe memory foam), clean white bedding, but with the same slight smell of cooked food like the towels. I had the room with a private bathroom (with the poppy theme) and stayed only for 3 nights. Location is good as it is near to all sorts of food shops, a pasticeria is just across the road, McDonald's is very close, Vibo Centre is not too far either. I didn't have breakfast included, but pasticeria opposite the B&B offers a great deal of choices for breakfast and sweet treats. Coffee there is really nice and the sweets are fresh and delicious!! You can have breakfast inside (where there's AC), or outside, in the sun... Upon my arrival (22:30) the air conditioner in the room was off and after a long day and long journey it wasn't very nice to get into a hot room, as this one was on the top floor (second floor), despite informing the owner/administrator of the time of my arrival, an hour or more beforehand. Air conditioner was on an automatic setting or so I was told, and there was no remote control around. I was told that I had to text the owner/administrator to ask for the AC to be turned on and off. When the AC turned on after 10-15 minutes, it was at 28°C and I had to wait until the next day to be set to a lower temperature, as I needed a cooler temperature in my room. Also, I was told that there was a movement sensor (??) in the room and if it wasn't catching any movement for a while, the AC would turn itself off. A lot of contradictory information about this automated AC... The small hotel-like freezer in the room was unplugged when I arrived. It would have been nice to find it already plugged. Moreover, it wasn't cooling enough even though it was on the max setting. Maybe it's too old, or maybe it needs to be serviced. But on such hot days like those ones in July and August in Vibo, there should be a properly cooling freezer. The TV was working but the remote control wasn't. And last but not least, I travelled alone, but I was accompanied by a good friend who lives locally and was kind enough to pick me up from the airport and drive me to the B&B. As it was quite late and there was nowhere to go out, we spent a couple of hours talking, catching up, and right when my friend was going home, I was sent a message by the owner/administrator and told that I paid for only one person and if friends or relatives come over and stay for a couple of hours on the premises, I have to pay for an additional person. Otherwise, visits from friends or relatives should not be longer than 20 minutes.

Very clean room, and smelled good and had a relaxing style! Worth the stay.

I don’t like that the bathroom is only 1 for 3 rooms. And the big issue is the water of the bathroom is done thill 1am to 7am.

The staff at Il Girasole is truly nice. As the station of Vibo-Pizzo is not that close to Vibo Valentia center and arriving at night by train could be an issue, the staff was really helpful. The room was very nice, the bathroom with all comforts and very clean and safe, according to anti Covid-19 measures. It is also pretty close to the city center; so a very good solution for workers who have to stay in Vibo Valentia as well as travellers.
