The view and location Origination was poor. Could not control temperature in the room. The solution from the manager was to open the balcony door. It was very hot because they control the temperature and had the heat on. Also, the price for 1 plate of rice with olive oil was 25 euro

Maybe some furniture needs some renovation, and the pillows were not so comfy, but that's more personal I think.

The view from the hotel was stunning and the location was close to the railway into sorrento but on a very busy main road. The hotel was rated a 4 star- but very dated. Everything was very basic. The breakfast was very limited with no fresh fruit and limited choice. The room was basic and had no tea or coffee making facilities and the plug sockets were no where near the bed which is pretty much expected in all hotel rooms nowadays. The hotel was on a busy main road which you could hear even with the doors and windows closed. The room walls were very thin and you could hear people next door and below. In my personal opinion in needs some decent modernisation and a bit more effort put into breakfast. Compared to the other breakfasts we had at other hotels while in Italy- this was the least appealing.

Amazing scenic location, spectacular views. Onsite free parking. The hotel is located between Naples and Sorrento off the main road. Vico Equense is a pretty town which is accessible by foot, car or train. The hotel does have a courtesy bus to take guests into town. However if you do it independently, the train is easy as it’s a 5 minute walk down the road and only 1 stop. Sorrento is also accessible from the same station making it a stress free day, avoiding traffic and parking. Be mindful when using the public transport of pick pockets! I recently stayed at the hotel for a wedding and the food was amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. Perfect location to celebrate any occasion. There is nothing to dislike about the hotel. I have stayed at the Grand Hotel Moon Valley several times it’s beautiful but it needs some upgrades. I imagine when it was first built it was breathtaking. Guests need to be aware that it is on a very busy road so it may be off putting for elderly guests as there is no where to walk outside. The breakfast need to be simpler as they provide too much variety that doesn’t get replenished. Keep it simple and only offer Italian pastries, fruit, juice and coffee. Italy has the best coffee and pastries ever!

The property had an amazing view and pool areal was very clean and safe -great in the heat of the Italian summer If you are a seasoned traveller and don't mind getting the train any time you want to go anywhere (as taxis are NOT a thing and apparently cost €70 according to the hote if you want to go anywhere l) and know what you're doing, the location is completely fine and a great second if you can't afford sorrento like us -bonus it had a lovely pool with a view which is mega bucks in Sorrento. Whatever you do - DO NOT EAT THE FOOD HERE! An absolute tip off and the nastiest food I have ever eaten. Not Italian and was very much like the Faulty towers food. I have had carpaccio many times before and what was given was NOT that… it was literally JUST rocket on top of meat and an enormous slice of lemon… No garnishes whatsoever which is integral to the dish as it is very simple… When I complained I was tutted away and still had to pay for it €60!!! I would still like a refund for this meal!!! Either buy snacks from the local shop or have food before you go back to the hotel as there is not any local restraunt that don't require an immense walk up or down a hill.

The pool is amazing. The area has some nice restaurants but you’re out of the way. Food was basic and overpriced. Pool on Sunday is open to public and packed with Italian families - no room for guests. Safe in rooms didn’t work. Door had had some previous security issues as clearly been pushed in - on both our rooms.

Disappointing

We booked a sea-facing room with a balcony and I'm glad we did. The view and sunsets from our 3rd floor room were lovely. The good-sized balcony had a table with two chairs. The staff at the desk were helpful and friendly. We used the parking garage, which was great. As well as a king-size bed there was a desk and two padded chairs. We asked at reception and were given a kettle and cups so we could make a hot drink. The first night we ate in the restaurant. It was a limited choice 3 course menu at a set price. Generally they ask you to choose the night before. It was all delivered to the table promptly by formally dressed staff. There is also a bar by the pool. Breakfast was good with the usual cereals, hot and cold foods. The wifi was slow. The noise from the road was dramatically reduced with the double-glazed windows. There was some noise from corridors though.

Great pool and outside area. Prices reasonable as well for food and drink. Breakfast wasn’t the best.

Good

The location was excellent with a beautiful view, nice staff, free parking. The breakfast didn't have many options, and the towels weren't absorbent they had a material like a tablecloth.
-
Lovely hotel, great friendly & helpful staff. Perfect location to visit the area.

I loved everything about it. Amazing views, good breakfast and excellent staff. Close to the train station. Easy acess to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi coast. You can get train tickets at the reception.
-
The views and swimming pool are the only positive advantage to the hotel It was incredibly noisy, the walls and ceilings are paper thin. The location is not great with a thin dangerous walk path to the train station 15 mins away. The breakfast was so basic and scarce a huge disappointment on top of a bad nights sleep. I will NOT be staying at this hotel again.

The hotel is very big. The parking was great. There was not much about the hotel that was negative.
-
Good location, close to railway station that brings you to Sorrento, Pompei or Naples. Sufficient parking space. There is a very busy road in front of the hotel which is very noisy and remains busy deep into the night. The worse is the unexpected Saturday night disco with very loud music and deep bass sounds that resonate very loudly into the rooms causing vibrations of the windows. This lasts until 12 midnight. Personnel did not even There are other options in the surroundings.

The views from the hotel are amazing. The room was always very clean and the gardens around the hotel were awesome. I'm glad was a hot weather because if my holiday was during the winter would be hard to have a shower because the water was always very cold.
