Boutique Hotel Kugel Wien

I really enjoyed my stay. The receptionists are the heart and soul of this hotel. They truly love Vienna and are always happy to recommend places and local events. The location is excellent - about an 8-minute walk from the metro and even closer to tram and bus stops. My room was cozy and stylish with a very spacious bathroom. On the day of check-out, I needed to work for a while. The receptionist made me a coffee and invited to stay in the lobby. Such care truly means a lot. One small tip: if you are a very light sleeper, ask for a room facing away from the street as trams pass by outside, although with the windows closed, there is almost no noise.

I liked how well appointed the room was, and the location of the hotel was convenient for walking most places I wanted to go. Not having someone there when I was checking in made the whole process unfamiliar and stressful after a long day of travel.

Where we could park was not very clear in our welcome emails, so that was a little confusing when we first arrived.

The room was a lot bigger than we were expecting which was nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the windows face one of the main streets which was very pretty. The location was perfect for us because there was a tram stop right out front that will take you almost anywhere. It is also surrounded by plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants. The staff was very friendly, and gave us recommendations on how to best travel around and what places to visit. Would definitely stay here again! The Kugel is in a great location, in the heart of Vienna. You can catch the tram just outside the hotel, and it’s just a short walk to the underground metro. The staff is wonderful, very knowledgeable and helpful. Also, the breakfast is very good!

What a lovely place! The best location, really friendly and kind staff and so much cool Viennese style. If you want to feel like you’re right in the heart of Vienna with loads to see and do, this is the place to stay.

Location of this hotel was fabulous. Right near bus and tram stops that take you into the historic centre and onto subway stations for further travel. The hotel is near several supermarkets and restaurants. Hotel owners were exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful in providing recommendations. The room itself was small but sufficient. The bathroom was small. Security at the hotel was good as required a door code to get in which made for late night arrivals back to our room easy. Not much variety on TV channels. Best thing about this hotel was the owners and the location. Bathroom was on the smaller side

The staff was extremely kind, helpful and pro active. Giving us tips, offering water and coffee, accommodating our needs. The room service was not fully delivered every day. It didn’t bother much because we were there for just 3 nights, but it would be nice to arrive with new towels and the bed made after a day exploring the city.

The staff was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about the city. They were responsive to emails and requests. I asked a crib and they delivered! Not only was there a crib waiting, but a sleep sack, blankets, and baby toys. They brought breakfast cappuccino and had sparkling wine waiting in the evening to help celebrate my birthday.

The cleanliness could be improved. It was not really bad and didn't affect my stay negativly, but at the price point I expect the rooms to be cleaned and not just have the towels moved around and the bed made. It would also be nice to restock the tea.
