Casa del Carmen

Some sensitive guests might be a bit disturbed by the noises caused by old wooden floors and/or going through the old wooden doors. It didn't bother me at all. But then it's also true that one cannot have it all. If you wish to stay in the colonial city center and feel the history, then it's part of it.

Location count be better, when they told me it was on Plaza del Carmen, I couldn't believe it, because I didn't know there was a hotel on the plaza. effectively it was GENERAL Rojas Pinilla house concerted to this beautiful place. everything was perfect. it would be good to be clear with the relation ship with Hospederia Duruelo.

This historic house is very well maintained. The breakfast fast was delicious and enough. Love all the antiques they have on the hallways. The floors are old and squeaky, but very clean! The bathroom are new! Great hotel!

We liked the location of the hotel, comfortable rooms, and excellent breakfast. Olga's directions for parking before our arrival were very helpful. We appreciated being allowed to use the tables in the back of the dining room for an impromptu snack in the evening. I cannot think of anything.

The location was perfect and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The dining room area was nice and the breakfast was good. The beds were firm but very comfortable. The hotel was hard to find. Not because of its location, but because Google Maps kept getting confused due to some streets being pedestrian only.

Best place to take a rest. Close to shoppings stores, restaurants and interest places. Very kind staff. Delicious typical breakfast included.

Great location in the heart of Villa de Leyva yet tranquil and quiet place. Room was spacious and good temperature, neither hot nor cold. Bathroom floor appeared to be heated! Hot water worked well. Parking was limited and a little difficult to get in and out of.

very central, clean and friendly staff don’t forget your ear plugs. it’s can be very noisy.

This is my third time staying and love it every time. I have referred other family members to stay at this beautiful home. Booking.com did not send both of my reservations, but Casa del Carmen accommodated our needs

Small hotel, very communal and simple The church is right in front. You will be getting woken up every day at 5:45 AM, 6:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 6PM by the bells. If you want to rest and have a good sleep DO NOT STAY HERE.

- Staff was nice and flexible, allowed us to leave the luggage while waiting for check-in - Room was spatious, toilet newly renovated and clean, comfortable bed - Positioning is hard to improve, super centric and nice - Unfortunately there was no hair dryer available in the whole structure, and at night it can become chilly - Breakfast was rather basic (packaged cheese, no juice, no spices or pepper) - All things considered it ends up in the pricier end if we check price/service ratio
