Wanaka Hotel

The location of this hotel is like no other, it is very easy to get to. Once there you can walk around the city area and the lake, the access to the main parts of town is incredible. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the comforts you need. The room was really cold and the small heater in the room didn't seem to keep up. They have an additional small heater to plug in but the cold was intense, it warmed up sometime in the middle of the night only. To top that, we may not be able to have too many rooms running heating because the power went out on both our rooms at some point and the staff said it was normal. I hadn't noticed, only finding out because the room started getting even colder.

Location was great and the room was a good size and clean.

It's in the center of town but completely quiet. My room looked out on a pretty garden. The location is superb! And I loved the restaurant! Nothing really, it's an older building so all the nips and knobs are not shiny but they are fine.

Good location with cafes, shops and retaurants within a couple of minutes walk. Great price for a short stay between towns. There were issues with the phone lines in the hotel, and this was never disclosed upon check in. When we spoke to reception staff about this they seemed to not care that we were unable to contact reception or make any calls, and one receptionist didnt offer any appology or solutions to the issue. Disapointing customer service. The sound proofing was poor and could hear people talking and yelling in the hallways.

Great location within walking distance of good restaurants. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

The staff was wonderful and friendly. The room was spacious. Facilities were everything we needed.

Good location and parking. We didn’t use the on site self serve laundry but for those on long trips this is a good feature. No AC . Our room and many were in full sun and the bedroom was very hot

Nice location in for a short stay in Wanaka Town. Simple with nice enough balcony.

The walls are rather thin; I could hear the voices in the Next room

Great location, friendly staff. Old and needs a complete renovation. No elevator so had to carry my suitcase upstairs.

Great location with bars and restaurants and cafes literally at the front door. The room was great spacious and clean. easy parking at rear Decor a inside room and out a bit dated

Location It was so old and dated. I get the impression that because of the location they feel there no need to update the facility. Such a shame.

Outstanding location and the front desk manager , Dean , was so helpful and so nice ! He told us he could play any of the hundred of DVD movies for us at the hotel to show in our rooms. And he did ! Wow ! So kind And so clean , big rooms. Loved it !

Location, clean, organized No elevator and had room on 2nd floor

Our stay was fine. The ceiling in the shower was peeling. There was no air conditioning and our room was quite hot.
