Fireside Inn & Suites Waterville

The building smelled and room smelled like urine from animals. Dust everywhere on walls and bedframe. The ceiling had mold on it also. I would not recommend this building as they stated when I called them directly if they were handicap accessible. The lobby is not handicap friendly and the restaurant is not either. The smell was the most terrible thing I have ever smelled in there. It smelled really old. As for the outside of our rooms there was always this noise that would buzz every so often all night long. We could barely sleep from banging or kids running in the middle of the night and dogs coming in and out of building. We are very unsatisfied with our stay and do not highly recommend this place to anyone. The pictures do not sow justice to what it actually looked like.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. Good selection in the breakfast to go bar.

Very nice, clean, helpful staff. The only criticism was that the AC was peculiar, it blasted super cold, then when it shut off, the room would quickly get warm and humid. So during the night I found myself throwing the covers off and pulling them back up repeatedly.

Nice hotel for the price. A little outdated but clean.

The hotel itself is quite dated, and while mostly appeared clean, had many lingering awful smells throughout the hallways. The blinds were not effective at keeping the outside light out, and were coated with a layer of dust. This was the only obviously not clean area in the room. There is a significant gap around the door that lets in lots of light from the hallway, along with noises. I did not use the pool. This was mainly because of the fence at the end of the pool area being directly where people sat to smoke. Between the smell & the weird feeling of being watched I opted out. It looked dated but clean. I wanted to use it in the morning but it didn’t open early enough. There are 2 ways to get to the furthest rooms, walking through the whole building or parking around the side & using the side entrance. One way is long & awkward. The other includes walking into an alcove that is essentially a blind spot, you cannot see the door until you walk around the wall that semi enclosed it. I mention this because as a woman it was unsettling to have to walk there, and I would have been very uncomfortable doing so if it were dark out. It’s a less lit & easy area to see, near the back of the building and parking lot.

Good stay

I would recommend this lodging. Many new updates have been made to this property and it shows. The staff was very helpful when I locked my jewelry in the safe and couldn’t get it out!

Place was spotless! Staff very friendly. The pool area was well laid out. Having a restaurant attached was very convenient.

Older hotel. Very thin walls. Ac worked when it wanted to. Spent nearly $200 for a room that should have been $70

The rooms were clean. The property was very nice and for the price that you pay with a continental breakfast, which was actually nice as well.

Friendly, hospitable staff. Close to highway. Clean. Good grab and go breakfast options. Dated and worn. Beds mushy and room a little cramped. No breakfast seating area.

Room was clean. We got a renovated room which was nice.

Hot tub was well maintained. Hotel was in a good location.

The proximity to the things I wanted to do/see The toilet sounded like a jet taking off.

Great location and conveniently located near grocery store, gas station and places to eat. Best of all, great grab and go breakfast choices!!
