The Narrowboat At Weedon

Room was very clean and warm so ideal for a November visit. Plenty of parking space. Didn't eat there because family was close by but we have eaten there in the past and the food is really good. No shower gel dispenser or hand soap dispenser

We had already eaten at other venue with friends. Breakfast was not available so eat out at Grannys Cafe down the road.very good. Room was very good . we did not have any negatives.

Superb

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower nice and hot and the room was very clean. There was a generous amount of tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water provided. The weather was very changeable so it was necessary to use the electric heater in the room. This was very efficient but I did suggest that operating instructions should be available in the room to assist other guests as I had to get up to turn off the heater in the middle of the night as I did not know how to use the timer function. The location was surprisingly quiet despite proximity to the A5 and there was a stunning view across the countryside from the adjacent canal. Breakfast, which was not included in the room price, was very good indeed and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Perhaps a slightly later cut off time for breakfast at the weekend currently until 9.30. Also, the towels were on the small side although they were very clean and soft.

Lovely friendly staff , great food & drink in the evening plus they are doing a great breakfast menu !! Plenty of parking , nice location , nice walk along canal towpath !! They allow dogs in pub Only thing no sockets by bed for phone .

Very good

The accommodation was very good, plenty of room clean and tidy. Made even more enjoyable by the Song Thrush in the bushes behind our room that serenaded us the whole time we were there. Dinner and breakfast were both very good, lovely atmosphere in the restaurant on a Friday evening.

Very friendly and efficient staff on check-in. The room was spotless and spacious, a little dated, but for the price, it was terrific value and it had everything we needed for a comfortable night's stay, so we would not hesitate to return. It is next to the canal towpath so there is an easy and very enjoyable walk right on the doorstep, especially good during lighter nights. We ate in the pub and found the food to be tasty and good value. Pillows were a bit flat.

Comfortable, clean room and powerful shower. Tea and coffee facility. Good breakfast. At time of booking I wasn't told that evening meals stop at 6 on a Sunday and pub closes at 8. We had travelled over 500 miles with our adult children and were looking forward to a relaxing evening in the pub after our long journey and before attending a parent's funeral the following day. So we walked down to the Crossroads about 1 mile away where we had an excellent meal and very warm welcome. The following evening we had a meal at the Narrowboat. The staff were indifferent and certainly not welcoming; we were even told off for running a tab and then eating in the bar rather than in the restaurant! Dinner was OK but certainly not good value for money. Although the room was decent enough I don't think we'll stay there again.

Cheerful and accommodating staff. Rooms were fine. Breakfast - poor presentation and limited choice and availability of items normally expected to be served. (Ie Yoghurt, fruit juice cereal milk etc)
