The Inn at Whitewing Farm

The property was in a great location and had beautiful grounds. The property was clean and the breakfast was great. Upon arrival we were shown the room given our key and an overview of property. Lance the owner was very informative and pleasant. Our problem was upon check out which is in the main building where the guests gathered. We told Sandy,the other owner, we were leaving and she said we had un unpaid bill. Was quite surprised since had paid in full through Expedia. She proceeded to inform me in front of other guests that Expedia didn't give her enough money and we owed the taxes. Sandy then gave us a bill for $94.82 and of course we had to pay. When I reached out to Expedia to resolve the issue they said the we owed for B&B taxes even though we had paid in full.b So beware if you book through Expedia when they state on your itinerary all fees are included and you pay in full that evidently all fees aren't included. Very disappointed with Expedia for not disclosing all fees and with the manner Sandy handled the situation. Be careful.

The barn was open all day, stocked with soda, hot drinks, and even a snack bar for guests. Breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious! We would definitely stay here again. And the best part—it’s only a few minutes from Longwood Gardens!

Beautiful setting Rigid breakfast time…9AM ! Not good for early risers or those who want early start to day. at $375/ nite I believe I should be able eat when I wish. Also hot water did not work for me & some others on last day.

The owner, Lance, was so great! The surrounding area was good. The breakfast was amazing! Outdated, run down, and our room ran out of hot water.

it has a pleasant surrounding it needs a major sprucing up. it looks like it has had the right amount of cleaning in months. it was 90+ degrees out and the air conditioner did not work. The staff were surly and unhelpful. The room was tiny, absolutely not worth the price. so many great opportunities to create a great experience. They fell down in so many levels.. Even the breakfast pancakes in summer? We had to ask for something more seasonal. They should close the property down, derp clean and hand it over to a management company.

The owner was very informative when we arrived and showed us around the hay loft which is actually a very beautiful space converted into a welcome area with a coffee bar, various types of glassware for beverages, teas, hot chocolate, and snacks. This is also where the delicious and hearty breakfast was served. The coffee was great. The room was very comfortable and had a deck with outdoor furniture. The grounds are beautiful with a pond and a pool. I also liked that this was near both Longwood Gardens and Winterthur. There were good restaurants a short drive away. It was a bit hard to find the office (hay loft) when we drove in. We parked in the wrong place, but found our way pretty quickly. This could be solved with another small sign or two.

Very comfortable, Warm atmosphere. A home type of feeling even though you’re away from home. Breakfast was very good. I would stay there again just to get away. Really loved that you couldn’t hear any of your neighbors in their rooms next to you

Not a negative word to say about this Inn. This was our second time visiting and we will be back next year.

A beautiful property in all ways. The owners make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. The rooms are amazing with modern finishes that compliment the historic charm. We will definitely revisit often.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. Pricing may be a bit high, especially for a breakfast devoid of meat and eggs.

Beautiful property and Lance and Sandy are very gracious hosts. The tennis court was a wonderful extra, as was the pool. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous and it was nice to have access to beverages and light snacks during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Welcomed with affection and such a pleasant demeanor! To be welcomed in person at all is ahead of the game! The last two places we stayed left an envelope taped to the front door. Ck in instructions were texted. These folks could not have done more to make us welcome! Snacks n drinks 24/7. Breakfast delicious and lovingly presented. They really care so much to make your experience enjoyable. Property clean and comfortable! I will return!

Everything was perfect!! The staff was amazing, it felt like visiting your favorite loving relatives - from walking in to saying good bye. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Will be back, hopefully soon.
