Kandahar Lodge at Whitefish Mountain Resort

Great location at the base of Whitefish Mtn, studio room was spacious and clean, comfortable queen bed, good shower. Beautiful large hot tub for post hiking was great to have. Breakfast was plentiful, and enough options to get the day going as early as 630am, hard boiled eggs, cheese, meats, breads, yogurt etc and good coffee. 50 mins (or so) to Apgar at Glacier national park, not super close, but not many places are. The onsite restaurant has a Wagyu burger that was excellent and available from the small bar for a less formal dining experience. Nothing really, for the area it was reasonable and seemed like an upgrade vs chain hotels for sure.

Staff was nice throughout First morning, of 2, shower, did not work properly and was barely able yo shower. Had to go out early so couldn't wait for repair. Staff fixed while we had breakfast but too late. One of light fixtures also didnt shut off properly. Had to unscrew bulb to shut off. After returning to room first day, bed was made but very little else was done. Toilet was unflushed.

No elevator so luggage in/out was a little difficult, but it has a ski lodge atmosphere.

Clean and cozy room with great location.

A wonderful older lodge with a great room in lobby area with fireplace and cozy corners to sit or play a game of backgammon or something else. A very tiny bar The Snug will serve drinks and sandwiches or salad wherever you’d like to sit in bar or lobby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Open windows in our room to have mountain breeze. Continental breakfast was ok - but not great. Coffee very good and hot. Oh - and Pendleton blankets on each bed! Lovely time.

Beautiful area and lodge. The only downside is that there is no elevator but staff will handle luggage for you if asked. I highly recommend this place

Breakfast free Food was horrible and very minimal. Sauna was broken. Limited parking, and need more lights in parking lots for safety. There was a large black bear that walked up and by rear door as we were getting out of our car at night. Never seen it. Could have been very bad-we have 2 elderly people with us. They cant run or walk fast. Aaron at the front desk was very nice though.

Great resort, staff was amazing and so helpful. No elevator makes it tough for elderly but overall a great place!!

Beautiful property in a good location. The lodge had everything we needed for our stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub every night after long days of hiking and sightseeing. Bonus of having a breakfast every morning in lobby. We liked staying away from town but had the free snow shuttle when going to and from Whitefish. Great place !!

Nice staff, clean 2 60+ YO people, no elevator, trudged luggage up 3 floors. Restaurant closed. 2 beds but one in loft with sketchy stairs to climb.

A beautiful place to stay. I stayed there in June, the off season. No skiers. It was just peaceful.
