    Beachfront

Pros: very nice location, a couple of steps to the sand; very quiet place and peaceful neighborhood. Check in/out extremily easy. Cons: some outlets didn't work, but it wasn't a big deal. As mentioned in other reviews, the parking lot is tight. In my opinion, the bathroom size was the worst part of the experience; it is very small, which makes it difficult to move around inside it. Overall, our stay was nice.

Nothing! This was the biggest false advertisement ever! We booked a two bedroom suite. Picture showed a very nice two bedroom suit. Which we found out later was AI generated! Lots of the pictures on their site was. My son was getting married in Wildwood and the hotel he picked was down the road. When I called the Colosseum hotel to cancel so I could stay where my son was (8 months in advance) I was told by the hotel that if I booked directly I would get a refund but booking.com will not give refunds since I booked through them. So we thought rooms are nice so we would stay. Major mistake! When we arrive, we went into the managers office to check in. There was no one in there. We waited 15 minutes until someone showed when I said to the manager I guess you’re busy. Her response was just fuss in around. She didn’t apologize for us waiting or anything so we checked in and went to the room we opened up the door. This was nothing what we booked. Everything was dark and green. First thing you noticed was a bathroom straight in front that had a pocket door. Then you went down a small hallway. The bedroom had a small window with the shades closed. When you pulled opened the shades, there were pipes from an air conditioner and a concrete wall behind it., The second room we went to was locked, so I had to go back to the managers room and tell them that the door is locked. The gentleman came with us. He opened up the door and that time we noticed the second room was the same as the first room both beds look like they were already slept in and he says we gotta change the sheets then we’re so disappointed because this is not what we paid $1100 for two days for. The beds were on a steel frame with small mattresses and worried about bedbugs! There was tissue paper under the bed. The Floors had sand and the one bathroom had garbage in it. The doors were all stained with dirt and grime. The dresser was broken.

Loved that it had a fully stocked kitchen and was super close to the beach. I wasn't too fond of the toilet it was super small and the bowl was shallow, but considering it was a small bathroom it was a fit I guess.

The location was perfect. The balcony area for guests was very nice. The bathroom needs an overhaul. Toilet and toilet seat were gross. Shower was also scary. Pocket bathroom door was very difficult to open and close. A bottle cap was on the kitchen floor when we arrived. The utensil drawer was dirty. Parking was very challenging. The spots are super tiny. Tv and internet did not work at all. A very helpful clerk tried to connect the tv but we had nothing the 4 nights we were there. Guests did not abide by the no smoking signs. We’ve stayed at Wildwood Crest for the past 10 years and this was the most disappointing stay.

The room was clean and the hotel was not too noisy. If you want to go to the boardwalk in Wildwood proper, it's a 40-minute walk. Housekeeping skipped our room, despite us putting out the sign requesting service. The beds were uncomfortable and creaked loudly any time we moved at night. Parking was a mess. There is an on-site lot, but the spots are extremely narrow and arranged in a way so that it's virtually impossible to get in and out; another car scratched and dented my car, but I blame the situation not them.

Please don’t book this property, and while you’re at it do not use booking.com. They take no responsibility for the properties they are affiliated with even in dire circumstances. The property owner, Jerry Sweeney, Jr., told lies and kept our full payment all while knowing the room was previously trashed, lying to booking.com by saying the room was fine, and lying straight to my face by covering up his own wrongdoings with a play on words. He was never shooed away from the room as he claimed. He walked away as soon as I started pointing out the mess he expected my family to stay in, and then lied to booking.com and stating he is just following their policy of no refunds. A refund was possible if he gave the approval. He denied the refund knowing we didn’t stay at his property due to lack of cleanliness and dishonesty with listing images. The room was so filthy that we decided to leave, so we submitted the keys and parking tag to his m in the main office, and spent 5 hours finding another available place to stay. We walked away from $1529 just to pay more money to stay elsewhere. This is how bad this property is. The owner and booking.com should be ashamed of themselves for how we were treated. I’m still waiting for a return call from booking.com. The room we were given was absolutely filthy and not as shown in the listing images at all. We arrived at 2:30pm. The room wasn’t ready which is understandable as check-in was 3:00pm. We checked in and drove around for an hour. The housekeeper was still in the room cleaning. We watch him empty bags of garbage as we sat at a picnic table taking pictures to document the time. We watched the property owner enter and leave the room. Around 4:15pm we decided to walk up and wait outside of the room. This is when the housekeeper apologized for the wait and said the room was so trashed that he needed to make it presentable for us. We watched him sweep trash: empty soda bottles, napkins, food wrappers, etc. He said he empty three bags of straight trash that was all under the beds and cleaned what appeared to be an orange-ish substance from all over the walls. We entered the room at 4:30pm and it was filthy. There was crusted hair stuck to the outside of the fridge door and inside the shelves of the fridge. There was what looked like dried blood stuck to the walls and molding. Also, what appeared to be blood was spread on the cabinets and top of fridge door. We walked into the bedroom and there were brown stains smudged down the walls next to the head of the one bed. Small dead bugs were on the floor. There were hairs in the sheets and stuck to the blankets. I called booking.com immediately and sent over 25 images of the mess via email. I was told the property owner, Jerry Sweeney, Jr., refused the refund. The property owner and housekeeper came to the room. My husband was trying to talk to them to explain we both have health conditions and this is unsanitary. My husband has psoriasis and I have Lymphoma cancer. In fact, I had my final treatment for this round days prior. The owner said he didn’t refuse the refund. Called booking.com again and found out he lied and did refuse it in writing. We left by 5:30pm that same day without a refund. It was a nightmare experience.

We ended up leaving and driving 4 hours home at 930 at night. We didn’t stay at all and had booked the room for 2 nights. We were trying to make the best of it but the room smelled and overall just did not make you feel comfortable at all being there. Very worn down. What the last straw was is that there was no way the sheets were cleaned. There was sand all through them. If you’re okay with the fact that you feel like you could potentially be taking bed bugs home with you or catching something then this is your place to stay. I almost never leave a review but if your okay with throwing your money out being left feeling dirty this is a good vacation for you.

From the start, there were issues: moldy bathrooms, a strong stench in the rooms, and extremely loud air conditioners in already tiny rooms. But the worst part was the pool. I asked three different times when it would be cleaned, and each time I was given a different excuse as to why it hadn’t been done. The paper provided to us clearly stated that the pool opened at 8:00 AM, but when we went at 8:30 AM, it was absolutely disgusting. When I brought it to the front desk, I was told the pool actually didn’t open until 10:00 AM. I pointed out that this was not what the written rules provided to us said. I attempted to take my small children to the pool three different times throughout the day, and each time it was even dirtier than before. I ultimately refused to let my kids go in because of the condition of the water and pool area. They never got to enjoy the pool, which was a huge disappointment since that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The only positive is the close proximity to the beach. Unfortunately, that alone isn’t enough to make up for the overall experience. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

We were disappointed that the pictures during booking did not match the room we were provided. Other reviews/responses indicated that the property is progressively being updated, but this was not specified while booking. There was not an option to stay in an updated style. The bed layout that we had selected had images of a much nicer layout and accommodations than what we were provided. Will not be staying again.

The location and boardwalk out the beach were really nice and convenient. Sandy bed, sandy floor, humid bedroom, stove didn’t work, bathroom was tiny

Eh, charge too much because of location. Beds subpar, can feel springs, uncomfortable, no sleep.
