Spark by Hilton Wilmington Carolina Beach Rd

The hotel location is great, 11 min driving to Carolina Beach and 15 min driving to Wilmington downtown, near to a bunch of stores (including target, Starbucks…) and restaurants. I loved it.

Very comfortable stay. Ideally located to the beaches. Would stay there again

Hotel room smelled like pee. When we tried to get our rooms changed we were told that it is not possible. Bathroom showers were dirty.

The area, the decorative insurance the pool area the continental breakfast this setup is very pretty. The front desk folks were excellent everyone was nice including the lady who was monitoring the continental breakfast. The only issue was there was a couple of ants in the shower but everything was addressed and there were no other issues. I will definitely be staying again. The ants in the shower.

The Staff were all so Kind,caring, and Ready exceed Normal Duty help and assist me due to my Health issues. Breakfast was Good. A nice variety of Bagals, muffins,etc.. I had to use the Washers and Dryers but there Quarter Operated only. When I asked to exchange my $$'$ for quarters one Front Desk Employee told me that she wasn't allowed to do that and feared she would get in trouble if she did. It was late night and I had to go out to find Quarters. Finally! At The Third Gas Station I went to The Attendant had a bounty of Quarters and was able to unload some to me. It was a huge inconvenience! I was so highly annoyed and Stressed out having to go out late at night Hunting for Quaters When They Should have been Readily Available to Me on sight being they offered only that type of payment to do laundry! Redicoulas!

The room was clean and spacious. We liked that the bathroom and the sink outside the bathroom had liquid body wash, hand soap and shampoo instead of the usual little bars. The room smelled fresh and inviting. The staff were great.

The pool was clean, warm and not occupied most of the time (which was great). The location was optimal for travel between Carolina Beach and Wilmington, food, restaraunts & shopping. The front desk were helpful with restaraunt options when asked. Check-in and parking weren unfussy & convenient. Front desk were very helpful all the the time. They gave me two extra blankets when asked. The hotel and especially my room had a damp smell. Almost like someone had left a wet towel inside of the room for a looooooooooooooong time. I could not escape it and had to go purchase spray to get it out. The 'free breakfast' was ready on time but left a lot to be desired. If you're looking for a continental spread, no. We did not want our room cleaned the first day. Later, we asked housekeeping for a topper spread & were told we had to get it from the front desk. It seemed too much I just washed the one that was on there...$10 later...toddlers...

The indoor pool closed at 9pm and the jacuzzi was not open at all. These were the sole reasons I booked this property and was only able to utilize the pool about 15 mins before it closed. The room was ok I wish it had a microwave in it but ultimately very clean, esthetic and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very plain, bread was hard, and I’m not even sure the juices was actually juice so that was a bust.

Breakfast has been downgraded here from what was formerly offered. No more hot scrambled eggs or sausage. Only hard-boiled eggs in the shell. Quaker instant oatmeal (Cinammon and Spice only, no other flavor), alongside lukewarm water not hot enough for use with the instant oatmeal.

Very close to the Bach and comfortable. Room smelled a little funny but for one day it was comfortable
