We loved our stay at Happy Snail. The room was good, the bed was comfortable and there was a lounge area and kitchen with fridge on the first level. But what really made this property special were the hosts. They were wonderful and made us feel like family. The son speaks excellent English and told us about the wetland conservation projects he does. He helped us rent bikes for 2 days. The bike paths start right outside the door of Happy Snail..are extensive and fantastic…no need for any other transportation. The National Centre of Traditional Arts is a short ride away. The mother is super attentive, spoke some English and was very adept with Google translate. The father is a chef and our breakfasts were amazing! When we asked for a taxi to the bus station, they kindly offered to drive us. We left this place feeling like we were leaving friends and would definitely come back again if we return to Taïwan. A fantastic finish to 3 weeks in Taïwan.
