Location and amazing garden inside the square Very professional service and very friendly staff

Size of Room, Breakfast included was great & the service Rooms though large, the facilities are showing it's age.. In our family suite, the shower area did not drain properly

A beautiful hotel in a pristine complex, with fountains and gardens. Very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was excellent with both western and Chinese dishes. Great area , very quiet and comfortable room, bed was also comfortable . The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Warren Wong stood out as very kind and considerate

Very quiet, yet fairly close to the center. Large bed, good size room There is only breakfast restaurant, all other amenities are in nearby Sofitel. At check in we were given a voucher for welcome drinks at Sofitel’s bar. So, as it was raining, we went there to kill time and ordered two cocktails. When we wanted to pay with the voucher the bar staff told us that the voucher was for soft drinks only (although it and the receptionist who gave it to us, stressed that it was for “drinks in Sofitel’s bar”. No mention that it was for non-alcoholic drinks. We paid inflated price for two cocktails but I complained to the reception at Mercure and to their credit they reimbursed us what we paid at the bar. However this was unpleasant experience and the voucher should have clearly stated that it was for non-alcoholic drinks.

It was not easy to find dinner in the neighbourhood.

Staff are amazing. Helped with everything we needed it was our first trip to China. Hotel is very clean, room was very comfortable and the bed is huge. The hotel is located close to a lot of restaurants, definitely recommend staying here. Nothing

It was a bit outdated, but that did not bother us so much.

AC not working in room, it was very cold. Staff could be more kind offering help with luggage.

Smell of smoke in the room. I got switched to a new room the next day, I should have asked right away but initially I didn’t think it would bother me. So just be aware if you are a non smoker. The staff were very nice about the incident and gave me a symbolic gift.

In a few ways you know the building is from the 1950s. Hopefully any future updates will be appropriate for the building and will not result in a big jump in price. We were willing to accept a few quirks knowing that we could never experience such a hotel at such a great price anywhere else.

Really clean, staff is very friendly and spoke English, the king room is HUGE, the bed is very comfortable. Location is good too.

There was no heating in my room

The room was very clean, and comfortable. Staff spoke English and was very friendly. Location is superb, very central with shops and restaurants not so far. The metro is only a short distance away. Itis located inside a small complex of hotels which include restaurant and other facilities. I cannot think of one thing I did not like.

Great location, and very professional and helpful staff. They gave us a room upgrade (could not find our booking, but resolved this really fast) and also really took the time to show us a map of Xi'an and where we could go for sightseeing etc. The hotel is in the center of Xi'an, near shopping malls and the Muslim Quarter. The Chinese breakfast was ok, but not great.
