The location was easy walking distance from a lot of tourist-heavy places, restaurants, and shops. Nice, decent quality hotel so dedicated to cleaning that the guy would come by CONSTANTLY to try and clean your room if it hadn't been done yet (bit odd, especially if you were trying to sleep in!). Traffic and music on Zhongshan and Siming Roads could get kind of noisy (for a kid with a bedtime) and didn't die down till everything shut at 10:30 pm. Walls not particularly sound-proof, so the screaming baby SEVERAL doors down was loud enough to be annoying. Traffic around there is a nightmare (esp. on holidays) so getting a cab/the car being able to get out of the area can be a pain. Heat not adjustable and was so high we kept having to leave the windows open (in January!).
