Ellie is a great host! Gave me tips about the island before I arrived, met me at the bike rental shop to pick up my luggage, dropped it back off when I was leaving, gave great recommendations across the island. The breakfast is great too. Yummy homemade buns and fresh fruit that her grandma grew! The room is comfy. The location is very convenient. Will definitely stay here again when I return! Nothing - everything was great!

The host was extremely helpful. She gave us a map and explained about getting around. She brought us over to Vase Rock where you could see sea turtles from the shoreline. We ended up going back later for snorkeling as it was walking distance and there was such a high concentration of turtles. Breakfast was delicious set of steamed buns and fruit. The rooms were clean and had AC. We had access to the rooftop where we handwashed some clothes and put them in the spinner. FYI ATMs on the island do not accept foreign card so bring cash.

The property is a short walk from the ferry and is central to food vendors and restaurants. The host, Ellie, could not have been any nicer! She went above and beyond in communicating information about the area and even took us to a temple celebration. The property was extremely clean and the bed very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again. Nothing.

Really fantastic place. 5-10 min walk from harbor to hotel. Hotel is adorable inside and out. Good bed, shower. Has AC unit if needed. No elevator. Host is amazing, nice and quickly helped me set up snorkeling, gear rental & Electric bike which worked great. I don't have 'B' motorcycle on my USA license so no scooter for me. Need internlt DL too. Felt so fortunate to see 4 turtles (medium, medium bigger and huge!) during my solo snorkeling next to Shanfu Fishing Harbor. Also there were many small diverse interesting fish. January so I got a full body wet suit. Didn't have to have it but it was really nice. Ellie took the time to provide me with all the information for her house and the island. She was very welcoming and prompt with providing the breakfast, soya milk for my breakfast, the photo postcard gift etc. I was the only guest in her house during my stay but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will look forward to returning again. Nothing to me, but some people may not like the stairs up to their room.

This was my favorite accommodation in over 2 weeks in Taiwan. Ellie is so welcoming, friendly, and really made a difference in my visit to the island. She speaks very good English. She helped arrange my e-bike rental and met me at the shop, and arranged snorkeling as well. And I received many great restaurant recommendations, as well as helpful explanations of the nice places to visit while cycling around the island, and solid advice on ferry schedules.. The room was comfortable, wifi was very reliable, shower water pressure was great. Breakfast was delicious. Location is excellent - in the middle of town and a 10 minute walk from the Ferry terminal.I wish I had stayed more than 2 nights. Highly recommend! Nothing.

The location was right in the middle of everything happening. Ellie was super welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Ellie's House!

The host was incredible and essentially gave an orientation to the entire island. She also helped in booking our rental e-bikes and snorkeling. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and we felt very safe and secure. Nothing I can think of…

Very friendly owner and very helpful with booking things to do and places to go around island. Not to far of a walk from the ferry and nestled around a lot of shops - but very peaceful and quiet inside.

Excellent location and room for our stay on Xiaoliuqiu. Ellie the host spoke good English and really went out of her way to make sure everything was catered for during our stay, including arranging a snorkelling trip and hiring electric bicycles. She also arranged for us to have vegetarian bao buns for breakfast and gave us a free photo postcard, which was a lovely touch. The booking was also great value for money - fully recommend staying here. Nothing, the stay was perfect.

Great host. Convenient location.

Perfect room at a perfect location managed by a perfect owner. We wished we knew that it would be this nice in advance, because when we arrived we wanted to stay longer. The room was clean and comfortable and the host was as helpful as one can get. Definitely staying here again when I will come back to Xiaoliuqiu.

Exceptional

Extremely friendly host, helped to organise everything from scooter to snorkeling equipment. Many recommendations from her on which beach to go to at a given day based on the situation such as wind, waves etc. Super cute breakfast with turtle buns. Interior nicely decorated with a lot of attention to detail. Location also perfect as it is close to the main ferry terminal and close to the main shops.

Elli was very nice and helpful! We had a wonderful stay :) the house and room was very clean and we really liked the little details in the room which made it very cosy! Good location next to tasty Restaurants and to the ferry!

Ellie is a great host. Lots of info before and during the stay. Sorted out e-motorbike hire with local operator and accompanied to pick which was useful as they didn’t speak any English. Ellie’s English is good. Island is small enough to go round in about 10 mins with lots of places to stop off and explore (bikes a bit scary but useful!). Beauty beach is probably the best place for turtle spotting. We saw loads there but unfortunately typhoon Kong-Rey was on its way and the sea was too rough to swim with them. Also meant that we could only stay 1 night as the ferries were shutting down so we had to get off the island which was shame. Room spacious and comfortable with A/C and fan. Drinking water available downstairs. Location in Baishawei is handy for shops, restaurants & bike hire, and short walk from ferry. Minor stuff. Breakfast was ok (savoury and sweet buns) but not really to my taste. It’s left in a bag on the table downstairs (Ellie + husband don’t stay in the same building). Coffee in flask but didn’t try - no milk. Shower was powerful but a bit in your face so hard to use. Room on 3rd floor. Lots of in/out shoe swapping.

I liked the kind and helpful host, the lovely breakfast, and the room.
