10/10. The most authentic Japanese experience for us for our 12-day stay in Japan. Loved the ambience and the food! Lovely experience and memories in this place. Ryokan type big room with clean-smelling tatami mats. It had a dining and sleeping area, spacious cabinets (where all our luggages fit), and a private toilet and lavatory. Our room had a view of the beautiful garden with koi pond. There were two hot baths and shower rooms that you can book for private use. We were also provided with yukatas and Japanese type warm coats. They served traditional ryokan keiseki meals. And the FOOD was excellent!!! We booked for two breakfasts and one dinner. The place is run by a lovely and hospitable family who also prepared all our traditional Japanese meals. We went to two nearby places where we had a wonderful view of Mt Fuji at sunrise. It felt magical. We stayed for two nights. We would love to go back and stay longer next time. None. We loved the place and experiencing the place.

This ryokan was amazing. A very homely feel to it, with the mum, son and i believe grandad running it. The outside garden was just beautiful, the room was amazing, felt like you have stepped back in time, and get a sense of the real Japan. The dinner and breakfast was incredible. All the detail gone into each little dish, the way they're placed, and presented. Such an experience to try meals, traditional Japanese style, booking this is a must! The hot bath was refreshing and wearing the yukata was a nice experience. A short walk from the bus stop, strongly recommend this place! Nothing

A very small and rustic inn run by a lovely family. They also gave us some recommendations on where we could get some amazing views of Mt Fuji. The rooms are simple and even though there is no private bathroom, the inn offers two communal baths with onsen which can be locked for private use. We had no problems using them and there was no waiting as the inn only has about 4 rooms so the baths are not always packed. The meals were probably the best Kaiseki meals we had during our stay in Japan, with a lot of variety and seasonal dishes. We would highly recommend anyone considering visiting the Mt Fuji region to stay at the inn and experience a quiet and authentic getaway from the tourist crowds. We also had the best views of Mount Fuji during sunset from the little lake (Yamanakako) which was a short walk away from the inn. Can’t say much. Everything was great!

I really enjoyed my stay here - great location and amazing food! It’s family run business and they were all so kind and helpful. I got there early (2 hours before the regular check-in time) but they let me in and helped me with my luggage. The room was very spacious and overlooking the beautiful garden. I was so impressed with the food!!! Both the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious! Everything was so fresh and tasty. I highly recommend taking the meal option. It’s close to the lake and public transit, so perfect for a traveler without a car. I’m definitely staying here again next time when I’m in Yamanakako. Nothing

Very clean and cozy family run hotel. Both the dinner and breakfast are amazing and impressive. The bathroom is good for relaxing. FYI. The google map direction is wrong, the hotel is just 2 mins walk along the path you can find to the left side of the station. No

Perfect location, only 3 minutes walking from bus station to Kawaguchi/Tokyo and Yamanaka Lake itself. Hotel is not brand new, but very clean and well maintained. They are ran by family of 3 with no employee, and so the experience felt exclusive. We ordered dinner (which was Kaiseki style) right after check in. At the beginning they said there was no time to prepare. But later they said they could, and even accommodated our no-pork diet restriction. We paid 3,500 yen/pax, which was very worth it! If you feel like eating out at night, the breakfast looks like mini Kaiseki itself so for experience you won't miss anything. They didn't provide bike, but Yoichi (the son) offered to drive us to closes bike rental station. Sadly it was cancelled as the weather wasn't very good that day, so we didn't explore Yamanaka a lot. In many cases it would disappoint us, but here the hotel ambience well compensated it. We were happy spending time at the hotel, and of course the massage chair in common room was very nice. Really recommend to visit if you want to experience staying in traditional tyle Japanese room. Nothing really

The owners are fantastic cooks! This is the second time we came and mainly for the meals! The helpful Host showed us a video on how to debone the fish during dinner. Breakfast has been wonderful too. There is a small but beautiful garden right by the building. Take lots of lovely ig photos! Room and bed is clean. Though the weather is cold, the heater and air conditioning in the room is cozy for the family. the lake is walking distance away. View of mount Fuji can be seen by the lake. Parking is easy. Nothing.

We spent four days in this beautiful ryokan. This is a typical Japanese hotel with big rooms, futons and veranda space to enjoy the view of the garden. Our host and his family were exceptionally nice and helpful. They tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible (even providing us with coffee in addition to the Japanese breakfast). The owner speaks English and took us by car to see Mt. Fuji from different view points. He was extremely nice and suggested restaurants and other amenities and he even drove us there in a few occasions when it was possible for him. We had a lovely stay and felt like we belonged there. The ryokan is a little old but that adds charm to it. Thanks to all the family for their kindness. If in the area, we would certainly visit this ryokan again. Everything was nice. A real Japanese experience!
