Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites York NE - Market by IHG

Staff was very nice and helpful, but a few things were not so great, I booked a stay for four night, on night two the toilet stopped flushing and the sink was very slow to drain, I let the front desk know and that I would be gone most of the day, when I got back it was after ten and no one had come to fix it, I had to fill the tank with water to get it to flush, next morning I just giggled the flapper and it was ok for the rest of the days but I’m a little upset that no one ever came, I was in town for my dad’s funeral and it was already an emotional and stressful trip, second was the coffee on two morning was not hot and it was after breakfast was supposed to start, I had to heat it up in the microwave in my room. I also kept tripping on the carpet in front of the elevator as it was worn and loose.

The staff was lovely very caring, attentive overall fantastic. On our checkout day, the elevator did seem to take a lot longer than it should and was kind of jumpy little concerning. We saw a note that their exercise equipment and pool is shut down until further notice which is fine. We were just going to take advantage of the gym if possible, but it’s no big deal. Overall, great place might stay again.

This was an OK stay for us felt as though the staff was a little helpful. I asked for early check-in, which cannot be accommodated and I understand it is not guaranteed but when we got to the room, we were in quite a rush and we’re missing a few items that we needed to go down to the lobby to get there’s a few places where the carpet is coming up and it makes it look just a little dingy -fine for a cheap night stay though

So we checked in then went up to the room to come and find out that the room was never cleaned it was still a mess and in shambles. Like nobody clean the room that day from the previous guests but on top of that I had dinner reservations and we had to wait in additional hour to be able to go use the room so we can get ready to go to dinner. Then on top of that When I went to go use the jacuzzi tub it was not Any stopper for the water anywhere do we found Had a call the front desk multiple times asking for The stopper for the water drain Never again we're staying here. , or would i ever recommend this place.

Nice place to stay clean rooms staff is little not helpful have to wait at the desk more then 15 minutes 3 times but hotel is a nice place to stay . Recommend..

Stayed here a few times for sporting events. First time in two years we have been there. Needs a lot of updates, paint coming off walls etc.

Very good location to resturants, stores, etc

We were incredibly disappointed from start to finish. After a long day of travel, we checked in and found out that the pool and hot tub were closed for repairs and would be closed for our entire stay. In fact, it had been closed for some time, and they never mentioned it on their website or when we booked the room. Then, we got to our room only to find that we had no hot water. We informed the front desk and they said, "We're aware. It's everyone, not just you." They offered no timeline for repairs or anything helpful at all. We returned to the room to take cold showers, only to find that the shower was broken. The maintenance staff was called in to fix it, which they did, at 11:00 PM! The staff during breakfast were not helpful and not quick about anything. I asked for decaf coffee on our first morning and waited over 25 minutes for them to bring out a carafe. The pancake machine was never working and none of them ever seemed to know how to fix it - they would walk off to "find someone" and just never return. When we checked out and told them (politely) about the issues we'd had, they offered nothing... no discount, no voucher for a free night or a free meal, nothing - not even an apology! Customer Service is truly dead at the Holiday Inn Express in York.

Booked hotel thru expedia for 2 nights, WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. Expedia pays hotel up front so hotel doesn't care about any issues that the hotel has, it has your money and Expedia won't do anything to get you a refund if you want to leave the property. Hotel had pool area closed for renovations and the breakfast are had no power so food was cold and horrible. The 1 ice machine was out of order and there was no ice in whole hotel and they would not supply any...95 degree days outside also. Expedia is no good for hotel stays and Holiday Inn Express's are crap holes...we stayed at 4 different ones on our trip to Philly and all 4 we junk. One was ran by and India family and it seemed to be an issue to get breakfast made. They seemed to not be able to make enough breakfast for the 6-930 am times...orange juice was watered down so it looked like yellow water...will not be back to any Holiday Inn Express's again...just plain awful people running them and bad attitudes.

Check in went great, the room was great at first, then we used the bathroom. The light switch arched inside the wall when it was turned on, the lighting was extremely dim and the shower was not very clean. Location was great.
