Exceptional inevery way. The staff went out of their way being kind, courteous and helpful. First class operation. My room was Japanese style Onsen with private bath. Stunning, peaceful and quiet. The Japanese Onsen style dinner and breakfast are one of the many highlights. Recommend to wear your hotel provided kimono to enjoy the experience. The hot spring bath in each room (separate building) is the best part. Soak away your stress and enjoy the health benefits from the water. I wish I could hav3 stayed another day. Also, easy walk to Lake Kirin, to town and to the busy street with lots of activities, cafes, restaurants and local treats. Enjoy…. NA all good.

Everything about this property was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The staff went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner were also exceptional - everything was fresh and tasty. Rooms were clean, well-maintained, and beds were comfy. Couldn't recommend this property enough and will definitely be back in the future.

I had a great time staying here. The hotel provides pick-up from Beppu station as it locates far from main town. But just a 20’ drive. Not bad. The place is not big, but room is spacious. Bed is comfortable. Room has basic amenities but is clean and warm. The in-room onsen offers privacy and comfort. The food is superb. Meal is very delicious: breakfast and dinner. Each meal always keeps you full until the next. So much food. But the highlight would have been the staffs. They are exceptionally friendly and welcoming of guests. Always smiling and helping with everything you possibly need. I would definitely recommend you to stay 2-3 nights to enjoy the most of the place, and the town. Nothing i could think of

Beautiful ryokan with five stars facilities and services. Rooms are super nice with private and beautiful onsen in every room. All staffs were very nice, especially the lady named June (very lovely). Food is excellent on both meals. We highly recommend this beautiful ryokan for those who are looking for special place in their itinerary. none

Nice property, friendly staff, your own outdoor onsen, very detail property, very nice Japanese garden, great breakfast, you feel the luxury, close to the town. Every room is separated with their own onsen bath, Stay 2 nights, love it it would be nice if you have a public bathroom. Other than that, 10/10 property

Room is nicely renovated. Food of decent quality. Good privacy. Onsen water flow is weak, water level and temperature fall. Tap to fill hot water in Onsen is faulty. Could have better lit up the garden area. A little more food for the kaiseki.

Amazing experience from communication about pick up to overall attention to detail by staff. The meals were delicious and we loved how our private onsen in the room. We had such a relaxing stay. Thank you Yufuin Rakuyu!

Our stay was wonderful - we wished we could’ve stayed more than one night! The room was even better than the listing pictures suggested, the staff was so kind and helpful, and we felt very well taken care of. We had a slight issue figuring out how to keep our onsen hot and it was fixed right away. I completely recommend staying here. Every room has its own private bath, and all the rooms are separate buildings. It’s so private and relaxing. We accessed the property with a car and it was incredibly easy. We didn’t opt for the kaiseki dinner, but breakfast was fantastic!
