The location's great, right in the old town but away from the noise.

Single women should not rent this place. It is in a dark area town, passing through two darkened entry ways and the graffiti tells tourist to "fuck off and go home". Nothing about this place was nice. It was a dump! This was the worst place I have ever stayed in. Everything about this place was terrible. The place is a dump and I would discourage all single women to avoid it. It was dirty, moldy and damp. I tried to contact the folks who rented the place to me - it took them over 24 hours to respond and only responded when I sent a second request to get help. The did nothing to assist me with the issues - filthy place. I finally reached out to Booking.Com but they also did not respond in a timely manner. It was a scary experience.

The apartment is in a great location in Zadar, but the cleanliness of the building and the room itself must be revisited before I can recommend anyone stay here. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this apartment in Zadar deserves a warning. The moment we entered, the room reeked of mold. The walls outside the shower were soaked through and black with moisture damage — completely unacceptable for health and safety. There was a random knife left out on the counter, and one of the beds had hair and stains on it. The hallway and doors leading to the section of apartments looked like something out of an abandoned building: broken glass windows/doors crudely taped over, ceiling damage, and spray-painted with offensive graffiti reading “f*** tourists.” This was not only unwelcoming but actually felt unsafe. When the host provided check-in instructions and photos of the hallway to assist in finding the apartment, they did not reflect the true and current status of the building with the graffiti and other damage. Attempts to contact the host via WhatsApp went unanswered, and no alternative solution was offered. For a Booking.com property, this level of neglect and lack of communication is shocking. We did not stay the night because we were afraid for our health due to the mold, and didn't feel safe with the graffiti and surroundings. We did receive a refund for our booking. I strongly recommend Booking.com re-evaluate whether this listing should remain active. Travelers deserve to know the real condition before booking.

The location is central, though this is the only positive point. The host initially responded via WhatsApp and confirmed an extra night stay. - Serious safety concerns: Offensive graffiti saying “Go f*** off tourists” was written in large letters at the entrance — extremely hostile and unacceptable. - The apartment was dirty, smelled bad, and was surrounded by standing water and mosquitoes — creating a health risk. - The area outside the apartment felt unsafe, with drunk or high individuals frequently passing by. - The photos on Booking.com are misleading — the actual condition of the room was nothing like advertised. - The host overcharged me, even after confirming a lower price via WhatsApp. - I was pressured to pay extra for my infant, even though Booking.com clearly stated that infants were included. - Unprofessional and rude host behavior — yelled at me in front of my family, wasted an hour arguing, and refused to listen. - The key had to be collected from the host's office — a 10-minute walk, which was very inconvenient with a child and luggage. - The host threatened to cancel my booking during check-in just because I questioned the overcharge.

The apartment is managed by an company and is in the Old Town of Zadar. The room is modern, but really small and the apartment is in an old building and on the backside of it The location is great and in walking distance of all the tourist spots and also 3 to 4 mins walking distance to the bus stop and taxi stand. As it is a residential building, the walls outside the apartment are painted with some messages which are not good to see. Had asked the company regarding it and they made sure it was nothing to worry about.

I liked the location right inside the old city walls. The room was located on the ground floor, which is hard to find when I travel (I have bad knees and ankles). Also, the room was quiet and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Check-in reception was a few blocks away and the staff were friendly and helpful. The entrance to the building looked a bit rough. Just inside the main entrance, the door to the courtyard apartment appeared to have had its glass smashed. Boarded up. Lots of graffiti on the walls inside the courtyard as well, mostly telling tourists to 'F off.' But the room itself was clean and secure.

Communication is great, they replied quickly ober WhatsApp and were super nice and tried everything to make the stay as a nice as possible. The room had everything you need and the location is great. It wasn't too clean and you can hear everything going on outside (it wasn't too bad though).

The room is fine, two single beds pushed together and everything looks like it does in the pictures. Beds are comfy and sheets were spotless It's a sham - everything is built on the lowest possible budget so the furniture is shoddy, the shower leaked all over the floor, the toilet door didn't close easily and the power outlets were sketchy. Also, awful graffiti on the way in. It would be so easy for the owners to paint over this, and looking at other reviews they've known about it for months, but haven't cared to put any effort in.

The girls at check in are nice and the breakfast was tasty, as well. Location is very good. The pictures are much more beautiful than the actual picture. The room will be fine for 1 to 2 nights, for 1 person. Two people have nowhere to move. The approach to the apartment is creepy to say the least. The concept of the space is well thought out, but it is dilapidated and in urgent need of renovation.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Particularly if travelling as a woman or alone, or with children. The entrance to the room is terrifying and felt like something from a horror movie, particularly when arriving at night. There was broken glass on the floor in the entrance and terrorising, hateful language graffitied on the walls of the courtyard and entrance to the room, such as "tourists f*** off home" and "DEAR GUESTS F*** OFF", as well as offensive drawings covering the walls.

Great stay in old center

The location was the only good thing. Damp on the walls Holes in the walls Walls were all marked Tv didn’t work Outside the door of the rooms it was diabolical. I don’t think I can find a word to say how poor it was. It didn’t feel safe at all. The words all spray painted on the walls about tourists not being welcome and to get out of the property.
