I could hear some road noise in the morning.

Fabulous No restaurant

We only stayed one night stop to divide up a very long road trip. It was exactly what we needed.

Check-in was great. Enjoyed the latte and the yogurt selection. Also had a selection of meats and cheeses. Typical for Austria. The out-of-town location was perfect with no noise. The interior woodwork is something you will not see in most hotels. The bed was comfortable. You can tell the owner takes pride in the hotel, and the staff reflects it. Not many places to have dinner - the small local pizza place was a great find. The people were welcoming, and the pizza and beer were fantastic. Otherwise not many options near the hotel.

Very good breakfast, lots of choices, including freshly prepared in the kitchen, friendly hosts. The hotel allows to check in late, which is very convenient after unpredictable traffic coming from far away.

If you want to stay more or less around Innsbruck this works ok. Staff were good and the restaurant is what you'd expect. It's a 'stop-over hotel', as far as we were concerned. We knew we'd be arriving late so we needed something with a restaurant. Our waitress was particularly pleasant. However, I wouldn't spend more than a night or two. Parking is shared amongst hotel and restaurant guests. You may struggle in high-season to get a spot but once the restaurant empties you'll be fine. There's also a much larger car park around the back of the hotel - which I only discovered the next morning. Passing traffic on the main road is predominantly car-bourne. I saw very few pedestrians at night, so your precious car is pretty safe. The room (at least those that front the main road) probably go back to the '90s, including the ensuite. It's all a bit dated, mahoganies and contract carpet - really outmoded by today's standards but we suspect more modern (and expensive) rooms are available in the rear wing of the hotel. The rooms are , of course, clean and perfectly usable. So, all fine....and it's always the staff that make a place. Zirl itself is a 5 minute walk, has an impressive church and all the amenities you'll need should you want more supplies for your onward journey. In all: good but nothing you'd make a special journey for. Given the price we've stayed in hotels/motels with much more modern rooms and bathrooms. I'm sure Tyrolis has these but the cost will be higher.

the building and the decor are out of this world. We especially enjoyed the ornate moulding in the restaurant it is next level Bavarian perfection. We had no trouble getting any help we needed and the view out our window was fabulous. n/a
