Altstadt Hotel

Location. The concierge from Venezuela was stellar. Small digs but you expect that in the central city in Europe. BIG ISSUE: no air conditioning and Zurich was broiling. I didn’t think it would be an issue. I was wrong. I would stay again at another time of year but not in summer.

The hotel was in a perfect location and the staff were extremely friendly. Rooms were very very clean & comfortable albeit a little small. We enjoyed our stay and visit in Zurich. Unfortunately it was during a heat wave and no AC was the only issue. A very pleasant stay otherwise! Location is awesome and close to bus stop and easy to get to train station!!

Overpriced. Spare room. Breakfast was good but not impressive. One step up from a hostel but a lot more money.

The location was excellent. We were greeted by super friendly staff who were very helpful. The bar and cafe were a great place to gather. There is an elevator on the property too!!! The street noise is loud until 11:00 pm and since there is no A/C the only option is to have the windows open.

A lovely, comfortable boutique hotel in the heart of the city, perfectly located. The staff were exceptionally caring and attentive. Everything was excellent. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.

The location was very convenient — only a short tram ride from Zürich HB, and the tram stop was very close to the hotel. Although the old town stone streets made rolling luggage a bit difficult, it was not far from the tram stop at all. The hotel is near the river with a lovely atmosphere, and there is an excellent Thai restaurant right next door. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The key system was a little different from other hotels, but easy to understand after check-in. Overall, it was very convenient for sightseeing and getting around Zürich. There were a few steps at the entrance before reaching the elevator, which might be a little inconvenient with large luggage, but it was manageable. The walls were also a bit thin, so we could occasionally hear people walking outside or upstairs. With the windows open, there was some city noise from cars, trains, and sirens — but since we stayed in May, the weather was cool enough to sleep comfortably with the windows closed.

Good location to alot of restaurants and attractions. Room was a little small if you have alot of luggage which we did. No other issues with the hotel or room.

The location is great, accessible and close from everything. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The room is quite compact, but comfy.

Awesome location. Super cute hotel. Switzerland is just really expensive. Not the hotels fault.

Both person at redemption are very charming and helpful. Needed guidance for the bleak fast even it’s self serving.

The location was perfect. Right in old town. Walk out and in the heart of the city.
