It was convenient to down town. Had a nice bathroom and was quiet. Was supposed to have a laundry and Trudy said no, but would do a load for $65 dollars!! The stove didn’t work and there was very little utensils and it was never fixed. No chairs in the apartment, no place to put clothes. Charge a $75 dollar cleaning deposit, but wanted very thing clean like we found it, no dirty dishes allowed. Had extra rules never stated in the original post.

Spacious room in one of the oldest standing buildings in Zurich. Great location with easy walking access to the lake, the churches, art museum, opera house, and restaurants. The breakfast room has a lovely view over the garden and neighborhood. Highly recommended for vacationing singles or couples! I arrived during an intense heat wave, and the bedrooms are not air conditioned. Even in the ground floor bedroom where I was staying, the heat accumulated over the days. Eventually, I had to leave early and move to a hotel with A/C. I do not recommend this B&B for business travel. Breakfast is at 9 or 9:30, which doesn't match business needs.

We love the fact that we stayed in a house that was built about 600 years ago. The interior has been beautifully renovated and the house has all the modern comforts: warm, nice shower, etc. We had access to the garden behind the house and enjoyed the quiet and scenery. The house is situated in the old section of the city so one cannot access it by car. You have to walk up a slope, so if you have a big suitcase, you will have a hard time. We didn't have this problem because we travel light; with one backpack. So, travel light!

We loved the history of the building! Trudi is a wonderful host.

Very charming property in a great location near the old town and good walking distance to everything. The host was very kind and has created a welcoming space. We loved the garden with a table for eating outside. Just a short walk down to the lake to catch a ferry or go for a run by the water.

Fabulous breakfast - great company and conversation. We loved the building's history and its beautiful garden. Our circumstance was different than most. We were preparing for a 2-week motorcycle ride through the Alps, so after a 10-hour flight, we're not used to walking (with luggage) for 20 minutes from the train station to reach our room. Don't get me wrong, everyone does it, we just had a heavy duffle bag (no wheels) 2 backpacks and 2 leather jacks - Uber is sort of frowned upon, so that walk was a bit more than we anticipated. Again, beautiful place, lovely people, but also after walking around the city all day we're sort of used to air conditioning (which we learned later) was not a common thing wherever we stayed.

Trudi the host was great. She provided everything we needed plus offered helpful tips about places to see and go. Anyone with mobility issues will need to know that you have to climb a steep hill with a lot of steps to get to the house. No AC but that is common for Switzerland.

Fabulous aesthetic and great location. Trudi’s artistic nature permeates the home… with her attention to small details and her exquisite personal sculptures and paintings. —-

Everything was cozy and welcoming the host adorable nothing

The location was perfect for us. The breakfast offered good variety, including a delicious salad as well as traditional cheeses and hearty breads. Heated bathroom floor, cozy on our rainy days. Built in 1430, it has been wonderfully renovated. Trudy speaks with a slight Pennsylvania accent, in other words, English can be the language of communication. We were near tram lines, restaurants and coffee shops. Use Trudi’s instructions; Google assumes pedestrians want to walk past interesting shops rather than getting there directly with luggage.

Beautiful modern home in a 1406 house. When do you get an opportunity to stay in a place like that? The neighborhood was amazing. Very walkable. Breakfast was delicious and Trudi is a great host. We will definitely stay here again. Great place to introduce yourself to Zurich! N/a. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Difficult to get too. On a steep incline.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. The place was very beautiful and charming. We most loved the beautiful garden and the delicious and super healthy breakfast. Trudi was really interesting and knowledgeable about so many things and I wish we had had more time to spend with her. Construction outside our window was really distracting and loud, but that was beyond the host's ability to control, so there was nothing we did not like about the place that was within her control.

Excellent location, comfortable room and bed, many thoughtful details such as sparkling water, chocolates, fresh flowers

Wonderful place in perfect location. The house itself is exceptional, medieval building with all modern conveniences. Trudi is a great host and the breakfast “gatherings” were a great pleasure. Highly recommended.
