The Reception staff, day and evening were very pleasant and helpful. My room was perfect for me. The location was especially nice for my. I found a healthy place several steps away that made great acai fruit bowls (I had three bowls over 2 days.) Hotel Nido also was a great value. It was an excellent choice for me as I prepared to start the Camino Ingles. This hotel staff makes the experience worth repeating for me. My ability to speak Spanish is extremely limited but they helped me to be very comfortable. I also enjoyed my room. This is a beautiful hotel building in a time when people still cared about craftsmanship, and it shows throughout the hotel. So very nice and very well-maintained hotel.

it was central white lights in the bedroom... weird doily things in the bathroom...
-
Location, 24/7 staff and parking option No A/C, opening the window is not a viable option, ‘cause in that case it becomes super noisy and can’t close the shades

Great location and good price but room and stay was extremely disappointing. I’m not a fussy guest and I usually try to find hotels that are economic offering good price-to-value but this hotel is not it. It’s a very outdated and run down facility. I checked in quite late due to a late night flight arrival. The guy that was at check-in does not know how to greet guests. No eye contact, no smile, barely a word…unbelievable. This was a sign of things to come. The bed was soft and uncomfortable; and a large section of the bottom of one wall was crumbling and flaking away, which looked very neglected and left a poor impression. The toilet lid was not properly fixed to the seat and if I sat on the seat it would easily slide around. The old fluorescent light above the mirror flickered continuously if turned on and the bathroom door could not close. The curtain allows light from the street to flood in, making a good sleep difficult. The bar goers in the lane outside the window were so loud Thursday night until past 3am — At one point I recorded 73dB —incredible! Then to rub salt in the wound, the garbage truck showed up at 4 am. I checked out a day early to maintain my sanity.

Nice shower, decent location, quieter than some in the area. They did a nice job of keeping up the room. The staff was adequate if not great. It would have been nice to have an extra pillow for the bed and a refrigerator or maybe a mini kitchen as some similar and nearby places provide for use of the guests.

Good location. Bed was fairly cratered in the center.

It was as described. I felt it was a good value! It was far from the train station but close to the beach so I have no complaints.
-
Good for the price we paid. It is in a central Location. The tower of Hercules is a 30min walk from the hotel.

A bit dated, but all was working.

The receptionist, Inez Maria was muy amable. She gave us a map and explained in full detail which streets to go for food and drinks. Even which museums to go to. The hotel is near the beach snd the marina. Also close to a Gadis supermercado as we needed to buy some drinks. They also allowed to keep our luggage after checkout. There was a problem with the lift but it was not a problem for us for we like taking the stairs. There also an ongoing roadwork in front of the building but it’s all good.

The bed was quite uncomfortable and, since there are smoker's rooms in the hotel, the corridors smelled of tobacco.
