Owner has an obvious dislike for the Democrats, so we won't be booking any room there again. Also, the posted signs are just rude, as to rules. Seems to be hostile.

It was a place to sleep, it was cleaning was quiet. Staff was nice Bed felt like we slept on a rock, towels felt like sandpaper. The price per night was way too high for the value.

When we arrived at the hotel, the staff was wonderful. I had forgotten to let the hotel know in advance that I would need an accessible room for my elderly mother. When I asked if one was available, the staff immediately worked to accommodate our request. Unfortunately, there was a maintenance issue with the room, but the manager personally came to address the problem. When it became clear that additional assistance was needed, she promptly contacted maintenance. The issue was resolved quickly, and everyone involved was kind, professional, and genuinely eager to help. The level of customer service we received was outstanding. The Whitten will definitely be our go-to hotel whenever we visit Abilene in the future.

Everything was immaculate and comfortable. The staff was especially friendly, and the owners are hands on when it comes to running the hotel and I really appreciated that. Their hard work obviously reflects in the service we received from the entire staff.

The best thing was the breakfast. Larry ran a tight ship and put together a good and REAL breakfast. Like real food cooked up. The staff were all helpful and nice as well. The only complaints I have was the cockroach in my room I killed and the room was hot when I walked in. Other than that it was good!. It looks and seems to be old and was much nicer than I expected.

It was conveniently located and good value, older hotel but comfortable The towels I. The bathroom are tiny and rough! Water temperature fluctuates to much goes from comfortable to freezing to burning hot randomly.
