stayed at the Banyan Tree hotel from April 22 to April 26, 2026. On the first evening, we decided not to go out and instead have dinner in the garden of our villa, so we ordered food from the hotel. I chose the chicken fajita. However, the next morning I woke up with severe intestinal pain; in short, I suffered from food poisoning from the chicken I had consumed. Following this, I contacted Sol from the Guest Service team, who had only been communicating with us via WhatsApp throughout our stay. I explained my condition in detail and requested medical assistance. However, I was informed that a doctor could be arranged, but I would have to pay a fee of 2000–2500 MXN, and that I would also be responsible for the cost of any prescribed medication and any medical procedures. I was genuinely shocked by this response. Despite falling ill due to food consumed at your hotel, I was not provided with any support and was instead asked to pay. When I expressed my concern, I was told that “there was nothing they could do.” Due to this condition, I had to go to the bathroom approximately 8–10 times throughout the day and only began to recover by the evening. I would like to emphasize that this is not a small guesthouse, but an internationally recognized hotel. Therefore, this experience was extremely disappointing in terms of both hygiene standards and the approach to guest health. The following day, we went to La Capilla de la Paz to watch the sunset. However, when we asked the reception beforehand, no one informed us that the location closes after 6:00 PM. As a result, we went all the way there only to find it closed and were unfortunately left at the gate. On another day, we wanted to visit La Quebrada. When we asked at the reception, a staff member confidently told us that there were shows every hour. Based on this information, we traveled for an hour and arrived at 2:00 PM. However, we later found out that the actual show times were at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Unfortunate
