We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Ortensia. The property was beautiful, located very near to the sea, but also in a very quiet, private area. It was easy to find, and the parking was directly in front of the property. Our host, Erminia, provided all the needed communications before and during our stay and ensured we were well taken care of while on site. Our room was very, very comfortable with the bonus of having a great patio and view of the sea. The breakfast was excellent, especially if you fresh baked goods! We only had two nights to spend there....wish we could have stayed longer.

We felt so comfortable and welcomed. The location was perfect with easy access to main road and restaurants to walk to. Beautiful property and great breakfast!

Large bedroom, balcony, quiet location and on site parking, backyard gardens, excellent breakfast None

The place was located in a good & safe spot & was easy to get in & out. The room was very small for us with our two weeks worth of travel. The bathroom was also small.

Ensia the home hostess & preparer of breakfast, was so very kind, helpful & makes fabulous scrambled eggs Sicilian style! Bit noisy in morning likely due to some work being done on upper floors. Probably a temporary improvement project.

It felt like being a guest to your relatives house. Erminia and Enza are super nice and welcoming and did everything to make you feel at home. The Wi-Fi was flawless and a bus stop just outside the property made it really easy to go to Catania city center.

I don’t know where to begin. Beautiful and spacious! Super friendly and helpful staff. I made the mistake of not reading all the details of the sizing of rooms and rented one that I wasn’t to happy about. No worries, my room coordinator helped me move into another room that fit my needs without hassle. I really enjoyed my stay and I’m super grateful for the last minute accommodation!

The check in process was slow. But we had a large number of rooms.

The room opened out onto a veranda from which we could see the ocean and then doing a 180 could see Mt. Etna. We spent much time sitting out drinking café and vino. We used the Merlin birding app and identified 10 new species! The room was very quiet because it is several hundred feet off the main drag and behind a gate and wall. Breakfast was in the garden out back and the food was delicious, especially the freshly baked croissants. On our last day we had to leave before the official breakfast time and a breakfast was laid out the night before in the kitchen that we could eat at our convenience. This was perfect place for our 5 day stay in Catania.

Clean, comfortable, nice surroundings. Friendly and helpful hostess. .Free parking.

We had a delightful stay at Villa Ortensia, which was our base for exploring Catania, Mount Enta, and the surrounding sites. It was easy to find and it's in a gated community right across from the beach. The room was clean and very comfortable, but the highlight of our stay was breakfast in the garden each morning. Just lovely!

Host was friendly and pleasant. Very helpful in giving tips for tours and places to see or eat at. Nothing

I stayed four nights and enjoyed my time. Room is small but enough. I really like the balcony. People are really friendly and kind. I need to leave earlier than breakfast time. They kindly offer early breakfast. There is only one bus going to Catania and it is not often. However, the place is close to Aci Castello where visit the castle and find some restaurants.

Location was good for us. Breakfast was very good Check in was bad. Couldn’t get in the gate with provided code. Needed another guest to help us with key and room. Fridge was too small. Couldn’t even put a bottle in it. Bed was not very comfortable. Was disappointed in “sea view” since we had to go to the end of the balcony and look over garage roofs to see the sea.

A nice oasis at the end of a busy day of touring. Ensa was molto gentile. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt, cereal and fresh croissants etc. Our room was not large but perfectly fine. A quite good restaurant is within easy walking distance.

It has a Very friendly owner. She helped us with tips and locations to go. We loved her fresh, self prepared breakfast. The room was very clean and had everything even a tiny fridge.

The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Room was superb & whole facility was super clean.

Very good location near the sea, and quite close to Aci Castello at 15-20 min. walking distance. Nice villa with garden, clean and spacious room. Very friendly staff. Italian breakfast with fresh products. -

The location is very good, on the sea side, with a very nice view. The hosts are very nice and ready to support. The breakfast was also good. The insulation of the rooms is not good. We could hear all noises from the neighboring rooms, from corridor and kitchen. And when this happen at 5 am, is not that pleasant.
