we booked this hotel for the pool and the location. the location was good however the pool was closed for three out of the four days that we were there. we asked how long it would be closed for and they kept saying a few hours every time which was not accurate as it was closed for three days.

Lots of potential but the property was poorly maintained. Our shower head was broken and the pool was bright green and unusable. Disappointing :(

The location was good. Easy walk from the ferry and close to restaurants We booked 5 rms. My sons room had two cockroach’s in it on different days , never cleaned ,dead bugs on nightstand ,2 rms werent cleaned for 3 days had to ask to be cleaned, pool wasn’t cleaned for 3 days had to ask to clean so could swim, no glasses in rm , freezer was missing door , pool table and ping pong out of order, mostly very run down

The service was great, very close to the port, and reasonably priced!

Pool was nice but open to the public. When we arrived to the hotel, we were showered to purple room with minimal explanation or guidance on the hotel. Our room smelt of dust and when we first arrived we noticed visible dust on all surfaces. We weren’t provided with a top sheet. A very small coffee cup was the only kitten utensil provided not even a spoon. Our bathroom smelt bad and was not clean. An hour after arrival we had went to the front desk to requester that our room be cleaned because of the visible dust and asked for a top sheet. When we returned to our room hours later, only the sheet was provided and not the cleaning so we spent 3 nights uncomfortably in this room. We wore our flip flops around our room because the floors were so dusty. This would be a lovely hotel as the rooms are visually appealing but the service of the rooms need major attention.

The pool, the beach and the location. The frequency, or lack of, housekeeping - Didn't happen every 2 days as stipulated. When it was rescheduled, I had to go to reception 3 times before it was done - Apparently their sheet delivery was delayed, which they could have told me in the morning?!

Bed was hard
-
Clean, convenient, close to the port. Beach at my back door.
-
Nothing Bugs and cockroaches in all 3 of the rooms. dirty, unfriendly staff. Loud guest music.
-
No top bed sheet initially. They gave us one when we asked

Beautiful location and the hotel has good bones but Badly run I came off the boat from Heraklion and was not Met at reception for 2 hours and got sick in the rain. That was very LAME!

The experience wasn't very pleasant. The hotel doesn't match the photos, it feels somewhat abandoned and very neglected (e.g., walls in poor condition, dirty areas, and no night lighting). The bathroom even had ants, and the mini-fridge in the room was extremely noisy. While the room served its purpose for sleeping, it wasn't what was shown in the Booking.com photos and lacked basic amenities. At check-out, there was no one in charge, we had to hand the key to a woman who was just 'helping out.' We do not recommend it.

I thought we would have a pool view and an ocean view, but the we got overall was pretty nice.

Location to ferry and town Lighting, breakfast. Front desk staff. Dated.

It was clean and convenient to the port for an overnight ferry.

It was at the port Making the bed without leaving it to me to change my own sheets. Had to change rooms because the mattress was so hard. We did not no that it is a apartments for seasonal workers. Dogs barking all night long. Continental breakfast was a joke. We could not flush toilet paper so you have a bucket of used toilet paper in a bucket stinking up the place. You could barely sit on the toilet. Had to ask for toilet paper. Nasty experiance. I am sure it was a beautiful hotel in the sixties. Now its as run down as the ancient stuff on the island. Remember that these are apartments for seasonal local workers. Conversing with other travelers doesn't really exist. If I had to do it again I would have spent the extra money for a better place.

Location, view were great! The breakfast & housekeeping staff were fantastic! Although we arrived after front desk hours, instructions to accommodate us were perfect! The room opened to ground level patio with ocean view, & floor in room was flagstone, so remember to bring slippers! Breakfast had basic egg & yogurt options, but would have benefitted from fresh fruit over diced fruit.

We had issues with the sink drainage, and the staff had to send out someone to fix it twice. Breakfast was good, but it came in a lot of small portioned cups, so we had to order a lot and frequently ask for re-fills.

The value of Lagada was excellent, the location could not be beat and the grounds were well maintained and attractive. The room was quite basic but the AC mini-split worked well and kept it a comfortable temperature. This is not a luxury hotel but everything worked and was clean and safe. The breakfast was pleasant and the coffee was strong. The staff were very helpful, especially the young woman at reception who booked us taxis on several occasions. Some of the outside furniture was quite worn out, but for the price I would recommend and stay again.

There is nothing positive to say about this property. It is outdated, infested with bed bugs, and the staff—particularly property management—insults guests and treats them with complete disrespect This property is infested with bed bugs—I got bites all over my skin. The manager was completely incompetent and treated guests with rudeness and disrespect. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I will never stay here again. Anyone considering this hotel—run far away!
