Johannes Boutique Apartments&Suites

We stayed here for one week and we really liked it! It was very clean, the location was great! There was a big supermarket right next to it! We chose to book without breakfast! I think most guests choose with! The kitchen supplies were very basic but it was enough to have breakfast every day! A great surprise was, that the room was cleaned by two lovely ladies every day which we did not expect at all and loved! The kids loved the pool after a beach day and we enjoyed drinks at the pool bar! There are a ton of beaches close by which you can reach by car or bus! I’d say in this location a car is a must! We really had a great time in this area and hope to come back! Nothing! It was great!

Amazing place. You feel literally at home, invited by an awesome Greek family. On Fridays they do grill, and mid-week they have "Mama Cook". Both are a must to try. Come hungry! The territory is very well maintained and parking is not an issue due to lots of designated space. Yes, traveling to and around this place without a rental car is difficult and very hot. But for us it was perfect as we used it as our base to travel around the whole island. Our room was quiet and we enjoyed soundproofing. Our room was next to a family with 3 kids but our sleep was peaceful. Breakfast was great with limited (however rotating and always tasty) variety - it was perfectly fine for us. Pool is also great and well maintained. We enjoyed our pool days. There's a nice typical grocery shop conveniently located right around the corner yet it doesn't disturb your stay at all. But the most important piece is the people who run the place. Father and son working together - they'll do everything to make your stay an unforgettable experience. I can't recommend this place enough. I wish to come back again as soon as possible! The shower could use a shower curtain. Somehow didn't find typical "do not disturb/please clean up my room" sign.

This is a lovely family run property, where everything felt very relaxed. It wasn’t busy at all when we visited, which we really liked. Location of reception is somewhat hidden up the driveway but we were promptly greeted by the property namesake and shown to our room. The unit we had was a two bedroom, one twin and one double room and was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small and water is solar heated, so you needed to keep showers short. The kitchen was very basic in terms of equipment. A lovely touch were the drinks left in the fridge. There was a good sized balcony and a drying rack. We enjoyed the pool very much, though it was still a bit cold. We had breakfast included and this was good - fruit, yoghurt, cereal, a selection of bread and cold meat, cheese, tomato and cucumber. There was nothing that we didn’t like about the property. Although it wasn’t busy, we did have neighbours and navigating parking was sometimes awkward - I don’t know what it would be like if the resort was full. We were disappointed that a number of the restaurants within easy walking distance were closed when we were visiting, but that wasn’t the fault of the property. It just meant that we had to take the car and venture further in the evenings.

We arrived quite late (around 10pm) but were shown to our room by the lovely host, Johannes. The apartment had everything that we needed, it was super clean and the fridge was stocked with drinks and wine which was a lovely touch. We had a gorgeous view from the balcony. The bed was very large and comfy. The air con was great and the kitchen had everything we needed (the coffee machine was particularly appreciated!). The apartment was also cleaned daily, it was so nice to come back to a clean room every day. Johannes and the rest of his team were extremely friendly and accommodating. The pool and bar area was stunning and so relaxing! We had breakfast once, and it was a good spread of food. We also had the Friday night BBQ, which was delicious and such good value for money. The location was great, with a big supermarket just next door and some gorgeous beaches within a 15 min drive. I would definitely recommend hiring a car if you stay as it makes it much easier to get around and enjoy some day trips (we visited Rhodes old town, Lindos and took a trip to some mountain villages), particularly as there is a big car park on-site. We didn't spend the day on Afandou beach (as there was Tsambika Beach a short drive away, which was much nicer), but there is a great cocktail bar and a few nice restaurants along Afandou beachfront, which is a short walk from the apartment (around 20 mins). We will definitely return as we had such a perfect stay! The shower head was broken in our room.

Beautiful place!!!! If you’re looking for a relaxed stay with excellent care and a traditional experience, this is the place to go. Just 10/10

Simply amazing hospitality, Johannes and the team were super welcoming as though we were part of the family, we felt very well looked after. Lovely room with nice balcony, great shower, comfy bed, and it was cleaned every day. Really nice pool and gardens, always spotless. We enjoyed fresh breakfast each morning and the Friday BBQ. There's a supermarket next door, beach with clear sea in walking distance, close access to main road (though not noisy from apartment), easy walking into Afandou centre plus there are other restaurants in walking diatance. We didn't have any luck with the buses so recommend moped / car to travel round the island. Generally the people of Rhodes were very friendly. We can see why Johannes gets so many repeat customers! Nothing we didn't like!

Everything. Quiet and clean with very pretty grounds. Well appointed. Slightly difficult to find when first checking in.

The room is nice and clean. The people there are super friendly. We have wonderful time there!

Firstly I am a person who is highly particular when it comes to cleaning standards and if the place I stay isn’t clean I can’t relax in a holiday. The room was squeaky clean and I could honestly relax. The hotel is 13 minutes walk to the sea and Afantou is not touristic at all which was what we were looking for. Johannes and his team is always there to support you with everything and are incredibly kind. I think it is great value and as two women we felt incredibly safe. Highly recommend.

High quality accommodation and a very convenient location. Excellent room with high quality furnishings. Comfortable and clean pool area with plenty of loungers. Calm atmosphere. It was all great!

These appartments were well furnished, new and clean,with a large terrace. Breakfast and Friday BBQ prepared by the owners really made a difference and made us feeling at home! Wifi signal was very weak in our room

Excellent hotel. Very friendly and service minded staff.

Breakfast was great. Location is a little hidden gem we found it very close to both Rhodes town and other popular beaches like Faliraki and Tsambika. There was a smell in the room in the afternoon, probably the sewerage system in greece as it It's not the best. There was nothing that could really be done about it. Not detrimental but just unpleasant.

when its run by family its always good! need to have bigger variaty of breakfast :) not only eggs also for dinner same thing, dinner menu is very limited.
