It was close to the airport The room had a smell, i book the hotel to wait for my flight spent less than 12hrs in the hotel.

We stayed in the property for 1 night as we had a flight layover in the city. Even though hotel looks very modern, it was very dirty - towels and bedsheets were full of stains and toilet looked like it was not cleaned in months. Additionally, room was super humid which also showed on walls (mold) and ventilation smelled like smoke (probably also never cleaned). Apart from hygene concerns, during the check in we had to give a lot of personal information for all guests, including taking a photo of all of us. When I asked why is that so and what about data protection (what happens with my picture afterwards?), I was answered that it is necessary as we come from abroad (we stayed in several hotels in different regions of India and were never asked for our photo). Overall, I would not recommend to stay in this property.

Near to city. Stone throw distance from sabarmati river and ashram. Staffs - Joy, Akilesh, Rakesh, Devendra, Aarti and Ravinder are very friendly and professional people and took care of us nicely. Breakfast is ordinary and time consuming to get the food topup and short of staff.

Breakfast was good and good location as well Major issue was wifi connect. I was shocked when staff told me that on iphone wifi connection will not work unless I go to reception as staff has to set up manually. I went to reception person around 11 pm but he couldn't connect. While check out next day morning, reception staff was able to connect immediately but I had checked out no use for me. Hotel need to train staff and communication has to improve (saying like iphone cant connect directly), I travel some many countries, I have never face this kind of issue with iphone connecting to wifi.

This is an old hotel called Avesta (or something) that is trying to be rebranded as Lemon Tree. But the hotel is terrible, despite the staff trying their best. The reception and the restaurant person were fine but the hotel itself needs seriosu work. The corridor of the 2nd floor we were on was totally enclosed and seemed like a fire trap. Someone from the staff was watching some videos on their mobile past midnight and we could hear it clearly. The bathroom was the worst part - the fittings were rusted, and the glass partition got stuck after going in for a shower. It was an ordeal just to get out. Will not stay here again.
