You need 3 keys to get into your room , from the street . There are keys on bathroom , and closet doors . A bit bizzare. Location great for restos, wine bars , the church is steps away .

Staff friendly, location excellent. Good value. Shared with a friend, so had twin beds which were hard and narrow. Traffic noise outside window while trying to sleep Eventually abated. Breakfast was adequate.

The family who run the hotel & restaurant were so friendly & welcoming, especially Dad & son in the restaurant! The bathroom was a bit dated but it was spotless & the shower had great pressure! , The room was clean & the bed was comfortable. Considering the central location, it was really quiet. The hotel restaurant was exceptional, one of the nicest meals I’ve had in Italy with local fresh produce & home made breads From the info, we believed there was onsite parking but this wasn’t the case - parking is challenging with limited availability in the area. We were lucky that the owners allowed to use their space that night so we didn’t need to move it in the pouring rain We had a comfortable nights sleep but the bed would benefit from a mattress topper

Great location and friendly staff. Really nice breakfast served in an old hall. I would recommend taking earplugs as the walls are thin. Also, the room was overheated and it wasn't possible to stop the heating.

1. We stayed at the Albergo San Lorenzo (ASL) for 3 nights in October 2024. Unbeknown to us, it was the weekend of the Donkey Palio, which we enjoyed immensely from the window of our room! 2. The location of the ASL is perfect. The entire town is easily accessible on foot. 3. Alba is well worth an extended visit. The tourist office (200m from ASL) organises excellent walking tours in English. 4. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and reasonably quiet. 5. Given the ideal location, our stay here was reasonable value for money. 6. Breakfast in the hotel and supper (next door) were both very good. 7. The welcome was friendly and the service and willingness to help were excellent. 8. There is free street parking within a 5-minute walk.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, cannot be any better. Right in the heart of the city, near everything. We were also very happy that they offered parking for free, in a private courtyard right next to the hotel. Great value for the money spent I wish they would have provided two extra pillows in the room. Other than that, everything was great.
