Hotel Villa Mare is a quaint and lovely hotel that is situated up high and overlooking the ocean. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, including the bed. We ate dinner at their restaurant and had a wonderful pizza. The staff at hotel and restaurant are very friendly and accommodating. They even set aside a parking spot right in front of the hotel. There is a wonderful gelato/bakery shop very close and a nice town square to sit and enjoy the food/drink and view. I highly recommend.

close to family could use a better air conditioner

Friendly staff, responsive and most important to me, everything was clean and in working order.

It’s very centrally located. It’s clearly a labor of love and the staff and family who run it care deeply about every guest’s experience.

Exceptional welcoming place, run by a family, very clean and tidy, good view of the sea, very nice little town, no touristy at all, strong AC, great breakfast, 10/10, exceptional value for the price. All was good,

It was right in Alta Villa Milicia - so we were walking distance to restaurants - stores etc. The hotel owner also owns a restaurant - it was closed and they opened it just for us. We were 9 adults and 2 children. Plus it was raining so they took us through the back attached to the hotel which is only available for the workers. One day we wanted to go someplace and couldn't get car service - the owners son-in-law drove us - he had to make two trips to take us all. He said there is no charge but we paid him. They treat you like family. If you are looking for a swimming pool - gym etc. this is not the place. But for clean rooms - AC and to be "with the people" in Alta Villa Milicia this is the place. The only thing we didn't like was leaving to go home.

The staff went way out of there way to treat our large group like family

Made sure we had a parking space in front. Beautiful view with a great terrace to enjoy breakfast. Nothing

The break fast was very good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful . A car parking place was reserved for us each evening . We ate at the hotel’s restaurant , next door , both evenings of our stay and the food was v good . The shower head cradle wasn’t functioning properly therefore it became a hand held shower . There were no restaurants within walking distance .

We stayed in an apartment in the new property next door to the hotel. Newly renovated large space with city view balcony, large bathroom, kitchen and small washing machine. Breakfast buffet was really lovely with balcony and incredible view of the sea (see picture). The owners were on site every day, checked on us often and treated us like family!! Don’t miss the on site restaurant for dinner. Our favorite meal was there, so delicious and felt like home. Many locals were dining there. Altavilla is a lovely town, short train rides to Palermo and the exquisite Cefalu. Not far from the beach, which was still closed for our visit. But we will be back!! Thank you, Guzzo/Incandela family!

A very sweet family runs the hotel. They couldn't do enough to make us welcome and comfortable We had a great night sleep and a great breakfast. We can't say anything negative at all.
