The owner is an exceptional woman who takes really great care of her guests. She is very attentive and friendly. The rooms were super clean and some treats were available in the fridge every day. We could hang our hammocks over the beds, too. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of fruits, but also bread, ham, cheese, eggs, pão de queijo, and cakes. And the juices were fantastic, too! — all colors!

Everything. This 10000% the best pousada. Marcia is a wonderful lovely and funny host who made sure my stay at Alter do Chao is unforgettable. The food prepared by chef Aparicio is super delicious, loved all of it. The overall atmosphere, the garden with mango tree, swimming pool, turtles, cats. Many thanks to everyone who made my stay as one of my dreams, Marcia, Guilherme, Aparicio, all their friends and a special thanks to Fred to happiest dog alive Nothing.
