La Quinta by Wyndham Altoona Des Moines

Literally first day in we see bed bugs and they tried to say it was a flea! Told me I’d get a discount for my 4 day stay. Took off 17$ joke

Breakfast area is large and the usual foods were well stocked which

1) There was no light on the side of the our room near the bathroom. A floor lamp there would really help. 2) We are older people and were fortunate that we brought along a bath mat. Otherwise the tub (which we used only as a shower) would have been very slick and difficult to get out of. 3) The faucet for the bathroom sink was mounted away from the basin and whenever you used it water bounced onto the countertop instead of into the basin. Replacing the faucet for one with a longer spout would fix that. 4) We reserved a room with two queen beds and specified three occupants. There were only two towels, two glasses, etc. in the bathroom. 5) The eggs and sausage at breakfast were cold. The chafing dish had an electric warmer but either it wasn't plugged in or didn't work. 6) The coffee at breakfast wasn't hot. Luke-warm coffee isn't coffee at all.

Everything was clean and had just what we needed. Excellent shower - hot water, plenty of pressure, no clogging. We only stayed one night, but everything went great! King room for me, my husband, and my 4 yr old. Also appreciated the dryer on our floor so we could dry our clothes/towels after a day at Adventureland!

Stayed overnight with furry family members. Room was clean, but bed was uncomfortable and bathroom faucet had no cold water, only warm and hot water. Checkin staff was friendly.

The pool wasn’t available during pool hours due to cleaning for a couple of days.

Our breakfast host Robin in Altoona Iowa was the best! No issues at all. Great stay!

It seemed us at 2 o’clock in the morning to get a car rental after our plane flight was canceled at midnight and the next plane we could get on was at 9:00 PM the next day. We needed a one-way car rental that they don’t like to do since we live in a small town in Montana., But you made it happen!
