Hyatt Place Buffalo/Amherst

There was a team staying there at same time and took over the restaurant with their delivered pizza that we had to leave to go eat. When asked staff what was local they just handed a piece of paper and walked away no suggestions or anything.

The breakfast was somewhat dissapointing bc items ran out without replacement and it was not open as early as I needed it. The hotel no longer offers an airport shuttle which was not communicated until I needed it. The shower did not look clean.

The staff was pleasant, the hotel was clean, air conditioning was loud, an elderly man cleaned our room and did a great job,

1. Must make sure you manually close your doors all the way. The door frames are not even and the door leafs stick. We came back once to us leaving the door open and again to housekeeping or maintenance leaving the door open because of this. 2. Fridge was pretty poor quality. Do not expect cold food so anything you put in there will not be an acceptable temperature for preserving food even at highest setting. Reported to front desk on day 1 and never was fixed. 3. Daughter found trash behind the bed on day 2. Wasn’t ours. 4. Rear doors to hotel supposed to be locked. We consistently entered without key cards. 5. Outlet was broken in bathroom and they actually fixed that in a day. 6. Peloton seat vertical seat adjustment broken. 7. Suggest large ice cubes for the old fashioneds. Not great on the drink quality especially with premium alcohol. 8. Suggest cleaning tile walls and pool/hot tub stairs in pool area. A bit grungy. Overall I would stay here again. Security issues are paramount.

The room was very disappointing. The desk and other areas were dirty and appeared grimy, and there was a strange, unpleasant smell in the room. The air conditioning was not working properly, making the room uncomfortable, and the bedding did not smell fresh or clean. Overall, the room did not meet the standard I expected and made my stay very disappointing.

And I'd like to express our deepest gratitude to the front desk gentleman, Rich. Rich saved us that morning on July 28th! We were there for my son's two-day bar examinations. On July 28th, after we arrived at the Buffalo Convention Center, my son realized that he had left his passport behind in the hotel room. We rushed back, and since we were racing against time, not a second to lose, my son called the hotel. Rich answered the call and, not at all offended by my son's a bit impolite, anxious request, immediately went upstairs to our room, found our passport, and brought it to the front desk. When we got back, we didn't have to wait for the elevator, grabbed the passport, drove back to the exam venue, and made it only a few minutes early. Rich is the epitome of the best in the hotel service industry: so attentive, sincere, kind, and professional. This wonderful hotel will always be remembered with deep gratitude and fond memories thanks to people like Rich. Thank you, Rich! Thank you, Hyatt!

Good spot

Very clean rooms and hotel! Continental breakfast was delicious and so much variety. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Quick drive into down town Buffalo. Definitely will be back!

We arrived and the staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful! We went in the pool later that day and it was extremely clean and a staff member came in to help us turn on the hot tub and to double check that we had enough towels. Breakfast was great. It was a typical hotel breakfast so nothing super special but great for the price that you’re paying for the hotel.

Everything was great except the breakfast. Second day we were there the sausage was obviously recooked. Not just warmed up but burned. French toast sticks were freezer burnt to the point where you bit into them it was like biting into a stick.

Completely overpriced for what you're getting. There's no room service, the "bar" is just the other side of the reception desk and is barely stocked. The "restaurant" is apparently just front desk staff microwaving food in the back room? And even though it says 24/7, I couldn't get food during my stay because "We're short-staffed". Finally, the property overlooks a highway, very ugly scenery.

Wifi too slow and Verizon user will have trouble with weak signal.

Hotel was very clean. Room was spacious and clean. Plenty of parking. Great surrounding area. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast.

The hotel has an excellent location near the highway, making it very convenient for an overnight stop in Buffalo. Check in was extremely quick, the atmosphere was welcoming, and we received exactly the room we had requested, with a high floor and a nice view. The room was renovated, modern, clean, and very comfortable. There are also convenient food options at the hotel and an excellent restaurant nearby. It is a great choice for anyone looking for something much better than a typical roadside motel. There was very little to dislike. The breakfast was good and perfectly adequate, although it could have offered a little more variety and quality.
