The hotel was closed for refurbishment and we were not informed.

Honestly it's mostly Booking.com's fault. The hotel is closed and yet it was still receiving bookings. I am trying to get a refund. I booked this months ahead of time and luckily I noticed two weeks before my flight, the reviews on Google Maps. Everyone was saying it was shut down due to construction work. Some people had to find an alternative hotel on the same day, I had a two weeks heads up. Booking, I hope you do what's right and refund all these people.

There was no property at all, we were stranded on the streets of Amsterdam at night time. We didn’t hear anything from the property when we attempted to contact them. There was no property.

Nothing When we got there it was closed for renovations!!!! We had no notice from the hotel. We asked in a nearby restaurant and the guy working said we were the second people that day who had booked to stay here and had to find alternative accommodation.

Convenient location next to tram lines, close to museums and trains to Schiphol and south. Room has safe, which most hotels at this price don't have. Helpful and knowledgable desk staff, who know English well. Desk sells train tickets. Furniture was pretty basic; we would've liked more places to put our clothes. If the shower had a no-slip mat we couldn't find it.
