It was well located We booked the property about 12 months before we stayed. A week before we stayed we realised that the prices were hundreds of Australian dollars cheaper on the booking.com site. The price of a suite was cheaper than our superior twin room. Booking.com despite our request for them to honour their price match guarantee ghosted us! It has been a week now since we checked in and booking.com have still not given me an explanation. We approached hotel management but they lied to us about a possible upgrade and essentially did not care. Despite this the hotel is old and run down and not very comfortable

Fabulous value to stay traditional block. Got an upgrade which was extremely welcome. I’m claustrophobic so can’t do the one man lift that creeps past the brick between floors but got great exercise climbing stairs to 4th floor.

Friendly staff but pretty tired property. Good value for money for a short stop over in Amsterdam, but I would be hesitant to be here for long as it’s a bit run down.

The bed was really comfortable! Great location and clean! The room was a bit tight/small

Good location. Nice lobby. Attentive staffs. Lift is too small. The way leading to the room was a bit confused.

We stayed for 5 nights and were thoroughly pleased from start to finish. The hotel staff were polite and went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was good and satisfying, but the most important thing for me was cleanliness—the rooms were spotless, tidied up daily, and fresh towels were provided every day. I would most likely choose to stay here again.

The location The room size and the bathroom size. The bathroom was so small that the door of the shower was a couple of inches from the sink when open. The furniture was outdated, not was I was expecting for a hotel charging 300 euros per night

The hotel itself was generally nice and the location was very convenient The hotel itself Unfortunately, two incidents significantly affected our overall experience. First, the housekeeping team left a bag of rubbish in our room and, even worse, placed it on the sofa directly on top of my clothes. This was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic, and certainly not something I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Second, when checking out, I specifically confirmed with the hotel that there had been no minibar consumption or additional charges. Despite this, I was charged later that evening, several hours after I had already checked out. I contacted the hotel to resolve the issue, but unfortunately it has still not been properly addressed. It is a shame because the hotel itself is quite good and the location is excellent. However, the housekeeping incident and, particularly, being charged after checkout despite explicitly confirming that there were no minibar charges left a very negative impression. I hope the hotel improves both its housekeeping procedures and the way post-checkout charges are handled

Disappointing

Spacious room, great air conditioning, and a shower that held the water in the actual shower area (many of our hotels during this trip didn't do this and we were mopping up water after each shower). Unfortunately, we had to kill a roach in our bathroom. And no soap or body wash in the shower, only shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Although this wasn't the first hotel to seemingly put body lotion in lieu of body wash in the shower during this trip.

Location was perfect for the museums, the Concertgebouw, walking the canals. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable and spacious. It was all good for us.
-
The location is excellent - within walking distance of Leidseplein, Vondelpark, museums, and easy tram access to the centre. The staff were fantastic, and couldn't have been more helpful, particularly packaging up a shirt I'd left behind! The room was really comfortable and clean. I will say that the bathroom was the smallest I've ever experienced in a hotel, though if you were to upgrade I believe the bathroom sizes are better.

Top location, quiet and same time everything is close by Air conditioning in the room requires a bit fine tuning: slightly noisy and current is too strong

Checking out . Bathroom stunk of vomit . The fridge and tv did not work . We had a Random man walk into our room at 2 am . The carpet in the hallway for so old and stained . The hotel felt more like a hostel . This is not a 4 star hotel !!!

I travel to Amsterdam a few times a year and I always stay at this hotel. It’s the complete package; location, facilities, the staff and the breakfast are all great! You will not retreat staying here!
