Mercure Hotel Amsterdam West

Passable

Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. I requested both the rooms to be near to each other, unfortunately the rooms were 25 meters apart. The staff told me that the booking is on Booking.com, they cannot give me connected room.

The room was a good size and seemed clean and modern. There was a pod coffee machine in the room. There were food vending machines in reception with a good range of hot & cold options including wine, beer & spirits Daily room cleaning was optional and we chose to have that done. It was not completed after our first night but hotel management had acknowledged my request for it to be done. They did contact me to apologise and arranged for room clean on the next day. Mini bar was included in our stay but it was very basic. There were two of us but only one small bottle of beer. There was two small water and some chocolate. The mini bar was not topped up each day. The safe was not functioning and despite their best efforts they could not get it to work. They did offer to move us to another room. The pod coffee machine did not have any pods available until after I asked for them. There was no milk available until after I asked for it and the small amount that was provided was not refreshed during our stay. The phone in the room did not work so the only way to contact reception was to go down. Despite their own guest information book and signage throughout the facility, the fitness centre did not exist. The “fast food” options available at reception were very expensive. $25 pp for breakfast to be included in the dining room seems a little too expensive.

Had a really great stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they made check-in and the rest of my stay really easy. The location was great, and the hotel had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Everything was well looked after, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. I'd definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay.

Good facilities with good staff. We received a tip about a local laundromat service that was excellent. Location is too far from the city centre to get into the vibe. We used ubers to get into the city that worked well.

It is functional and close to the airport. It is a soulless airport hotel.

Beautiful green setting, within easy reach of Amsterdam Centre Parking charges were not transparent on website. Corridors and stairwell could have been cleaner

Absolutely nothing Nothing about the hotel is good. It's far away from the city, very secluded, poor staff - number of people as well as their attitude, the snack options are terrible. The only thing I can't complain about is that I didn't have the food there, so cannot comment about in-room dining or their in-house restaurant.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is an easy bus ride into the centre of Amsterdam. It’s a little further from the airport than I expected.
