The only experience that had a little value was the lakeside view. What I did not appreciate was the room; the size was unacceptable for housing one person, let alone two. The view from my room was a neighbor's shed with dirty laundry hanging and lying all over the roof. There were no hotel shuttle facilities from the airport, as mentioned on Booking.com; one of the front desk workers (Patrick) was very impolite and gave intentionally incorrect and ambiguous information, was not helpful, and was very unprofessional. I must also say that the other personnel had a different attitude.

The water side, but we couldn't open any windows to the balcony. For safety they has to have one there. The rooms need a window that can open from time to time

Its a small hotel, not that many people Lights in the room and the bathroom. It was barely enough to see. The window in the room doesn’t open. No trash can in the room

Fantastic location, on a lake, with access to great bike routes through forest. Bikes available to hire at the hotel. Excellent and extremely helpful staff. Receptionist Jade, on shift when I stayed at the hotel, was outstanding and very helpful and extremely pleasant. Superb restaurant nearby which I went to on my bicycle. I intended only to stay 1 x night but enjoyed it so much that I postponed my onward journey and stayed another night. I certainly would stay there if I was connecting through Schiphol airport again. Continental breakfast was good. There was nothing I could say that I disliked about the hotel. The one thing that I didn't realise is that there was no courtesy transport to the hotel from the airport and the taxi was €34 each way. Other hotels nearby to the airport provided courtesy transport. Originally the Lake Hotel appeared to be cheaper but when you add the cost of transport to and from the airport it wasn't.

Staff were all very helpful and accommodating, special thank you to Sarah who was very responsive and accomodating to us when my flight was cancelled and allowed us to extend our stay My only complaint may be the towels being too linty even though they looked perfectly clean.
