Beautiful, historic building. Well-maintained rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Very cool spiral staircase that you’ll be walking up every time you go to your room.

It was close to the train station The holographic reception was loud and disjointed, any real problems and you were simply told to contact owners. It felt more like a cheap hostel than a hotel. Ground floor room was extremely noisey, the holographic reception is literally outside your door, you hear every check in/out & problem people are having. The big doors are constantly banging as people enter and leave the house. When I did contact the owners they did respond quickly. Even with help we still couldn’t get our tv to work. I hate giving a bad review but having stayed in other canal hotels this was very disappointing.

We had a very large, comfortable room with friendly and helpful staff. Great location close to Central Station, the transport hub and cruise ports and main tourist points of Amsterdam. Our room was on the 4th floor with no elevator. There were 72 steps up a narrow, winding staircase. There was no information about this when we booked and my husband having knee problems, it was difficult to move uninhibited in our coming and going from the room. My suggestion is that for older people or those with knee issues make sure your room is on the bottom floor as getting suitcases up and down the staircase is difficult.

Beautiful house in a beautiful and convenient location. Check-in and out was smooth (we have never experienced the virtual front desk before but it worked amazingly). Room was clean, comfortable and perfect for 3 of us. Terrific experience overall. The stairs were steep and circular so not easy with luggage but thankfully we only had small bags.

Convenient location (very near the train station). Rooms are a good size. Offers good value for money. I would avoid rooms on the ground floor - you’re subject to a lot of late night noise as guests enter and exit, as well as when they interact with the virtual host.

The location was amazing, a five minute walk to the train station. The room had everything needed, with an added small gesture of a Tony chocolate welcome treat. The view of the canal from the top floor was lovely, the stairs were steep but only had a cabin suitcase so not too bad getting up. Virtual check in was a first for us but simple to use. Highly recommended Nothing

Excellent location, great bag storage, lovely canal view. Lots of steps up to our room, that added to the fun and character of the building. Our rooms was small but cosy, with a lovely Juliet balcony. Everything was convenient with check in/out. We will deffo return xx Nothing negative to report.

Perfect location, comfortable room with all the facilities I needed. Loved the lockers for storing baggage after checking out. The stairs up to the top floor!

Great location and easy. A bit overpriced but sadly this is the norm for a weekend summer break. The stairs are steep and narrow so book on the ground floor if this will be an issue.
