Voyagers Hotel Amsterdam

No lift

The staff was very helpful and accommodating and the hotel had a great location and nice views. The bed was quite comfortable. We arrived during the end of the extreme heat wave and our room was very cool upon arrival but it got harder to keep it cool. Also the stairs were a challenge although we received much appreciated help with our bags upon arrival. We were offered a lower room after they became available but only took up the offer on our last night (of four) due to the air conditioning issue. It turned out that our room's control were connected to those of a vacated room. Once we moved, it was comfortable again and the second room was more spacious. I wouldn't take a top floor one again but would take a lower one!

Great location - very close to Old City Center

I stayed at this hotel because it is right next to Amsterdam Centraal. The staff was super friendly and the room comfortable. However, be aware: - The hotel is also a coffee shop, where people smoke. If this is an issue for you, don't book here - It is an old Dutch building with it's typical narrow and steep stairs and no lift. If you travel with big suitcases or generally a lot of luggage, don't book here.

The staircase is narrow and winding. but the staff would help you carrying your luggage.

The best thing about the Voyagers was its location, right at the edge of the tourist district and therefore within walking distance of a hundred shops and restaurants. Its location is also great if you're joining a cruise ship as the terminal is about a ten-minute walk from the Voyagers. The room and bathroom were spacious and well appointed. The primary surprise was the CLOUD of marijuana smoke that greeted us in the lobby. Nowhere in the booking info did it mention that the lobby is also a cannabis dispensary. That attracted a "colorful" crowd. Just FYI. Another problem was with check-in. The booking info suggested that we could check in early (1:00pm) for a $20 charge. However, we were told at the desk that we would have to wait till 3:00 since the cleaning crew wasn't even arriving until 1:00. (Maybe we had to arrange for that in advance?) Finally, be aware that there is no elevator and the tiny, winding staircase was a killer. Keep that in mind before you book on an upper floor. Overall, I would stay here again because of the location, but just be aware of these glitches.

Location location, just a few minutes from Amsterdam Central station ! Very near everything. . The staff was very accommodating, especially Allan for helping bringing our luggages up those stairs. The steep narrow stairs are very challenging. Also it can really be quite noisy till 1am especially on weekends due to the location of the hotel. So light sleepers might have a hard time sleeping. As a few people have suggested, some cups in the room would be appreciated. Note the rooms are not serviced daily.

Stairs to the rooms are quite steep and difficult to manage with suitcases. Staff was very helpful in assisting with suitcases.

Fantastic location. Friendly, helpful staff Rough stairway to top floor and cramped attic room, but good value. A hot water pot to boil water would have been appreciate.

Great location. So convenient to the train station. The room was clean, fresh looking. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was perfect. Towels were large and thick. I wish there had been glasses for water and/or Nespresso machine … in the room. It would have been nice to have wash cloths along with towels.

From the room to the staff everything and all involved were amazing I didn't like that my trip ended

The location of this hotel is excellent, the beds were very comfortable and generally the room was equipped for a short stay in the city. The staff downstairs were very helpful and luggage storage was appreciated after an early flight/before a late flight home. The fridge in the room was a welcome addition for storing drinks during our stay too. Unfortunately the courtesy of others was the downside of the hotel for us (not in their control of course!) A larger group spent the entire stay without any consideration for others - shouting and stamping around at all hours. It is a small building and traditional in style so be mindful that there are others in close quarters to you.

Close to the train station. Renovated rooms There's a common shared balcony between rooms on each floor. The neighbors decided to go get high after midnight, started getting loud and it's like having them right next to you, smoke also got into our room. Called the hotel and they indicated I had to deal with it, to go and tell them.

The bathroom was good The room was Ok , a little cold.unable to regulate the thermostat

Location was great. I couldn’t change the temperature in the room and it was quite cold.
