Amsterdam Downtown Hotel

This hotel surprised us! The location is excellent and the beds were comfortable. The space was tight, but we packed our family in 1 suitcase and kept the space picked up so it worked fine. No AC so in the cooler days it was great with the windows open. When it was warmer out, the fans they provided were ok.

Central location to popular sites and museums.

Great location, very friendly staff, and a very comfortable bed. There is no air conditioning and the fan provided was a bit noisy.

Service Representative (pronounced Long) was excellent and made us feel welcomed. Right downtown in the middle of everything (excellent location). Had lobby ti relax in. Small but we know that. It provided the basics.

Centrally location- walking distance to all of downtown Amsterdam, adjacent to a tram stop allows for easy transportation to further destinations. Rooms were very small for any amount of guests. Felt more like living in a submarine than in a hotel room.

The stairs are not ok for the travellers who have luggages.

The shower was cold in the morning, but the staff acknowledged it.

We got disturbed during the night with some ventlator noise at 4am. Went to get the receptionist to find out was was making the noise. We did not figure it out but it stoped. The guy was very nice. The room was quite small

This is definitely a no frills stay. I picked it for the location and price. The pictures shown are exactly what you get. I chose the hotel for the price & an event close by, knowing that I’d be only be there to rest and get a good shower. Would I choose it again for the next event at that location, yes. I read reviews that said the walls were too thin. I didn’t honestly hear anyone next door and sometimes I could hear the upstairs guests, but it wasn’t enough of a problem to complain.

The staff was phenomenal and gave my boyfriend and I a plethora of ideas for where to go and what to do while in Amsterdam! I didn’t get any of the people’s names but they are wonderful!

Unnecessary restrictions like ‘no stains on the bedsheet or blanket’ don’t make sense. When we sleep, it’s natural for there to be minor marks or stains from our feet or general use

Perfectly located in a very central area. The room was small but very clean and comfortable with a brand new on-suite bathroom.

Their location is on point! Within walking distance of some of the notable tourist spots and there are numerous restos, cafe and groceries nearby. They have accommodating staff especially Long at the reception, he would cheerfully enumerate places to see, where to eat and so on. I like their bathroom as well, very functional and not cramped at all. We found the room a bit small for a couple with two suitcases and that there were no closets at all!

Great location. Everything we wanted to see on this fist visit to Amsterdam was within a 15 to 30 minute walk. Albert Heijn grocery store nearby, pharmacy, coffee shops, restaurants, brown bars etc nearby. Coffee machine in the basement lounge. Front desk staff very friendly. Watch out for bicyclists, it’s crazy!!
