What I liked about this property was the staff, housekeeping, and location. The staff members were friendly, helpful, and pleasant throughout my stay, and the room itself was mostly clean. The location is also excellent, with many attractions, restaurants, and shops within a 15–20 minute walk. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made my stay disappointing. The reception and guest rooms are located in separate buildings on opposite sides of the street, which was inconvenient, especially when checking in with luggage. The building where my room was located had no elevator and required climbing nearly four flights of extremely steep and narrow stairs. These were not standard staircases and felt quite unsafe, particularly for anyone carrying luggage or with mobility concerns. Access to the building was also frustrating. The entrance door was very difficult to open even with the key card, and I was told that it had been jammed for some time. Each time I entered, I had to put considerable force into pushing the door open. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and frequently weak during my stay. The most concerning issue, however, occurred during checkout. When I was coming downstairs, the stairwell lighting was completely off. I had to use the flashlight on my phone just to see where I was stepping while descending the steep staircase. Given the design of the stairs, this felt genuinely unsafe and could almost resulted in a fall. While I appreciated the friendly staff and excellent location, the safety concerns, difficult access, lack of an elevator, unreliable Wi-Fi, and overall inconvenience mean that I would not choose to stay here again.

The stairs were exhausting. Classic Amsterdam stairs: narrow and steep

The staff members were professional, friendly, and helpful. We did have an issue with the ceiling fan being loud and squeaky, but they fixed it right away and gave us extra fans in case we still had issues, but we didn't end up needing them.

Water can been extremely hot so be careful but wasn’t really an issue just be patient waiting for your water to get to the right temp.

Great location, very clean, very good

The room was clean and had everything we needed in it. The first room we were given was on a high floor with very steep stairs. We understand this Amsterdam, however, it should have been communicated beforehand. Luckily the hotel had a different room with only one flight of stairs.

Cleanliness, room size , location and hospitality It was not a big issue as we were in Amsterdam. But we were in the room above the bar( a great bar indeed) and people were very excited that day ?. Next time we may ask for another room as we are an over 40 tired couple ?

Great location, very convenient for exploring the city. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a fridge, coffee machine, and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Nice touch with the earplugs provided. The stairs are quite narrow (though this is quite typical for Amsterdam buildings), which can be difficult with large luggage or for people with mobility issues. There’s a nearby club, so it can get noisy at night. Also, housekeeping was quite loud in the mornings.

Stairs, some products were not available, example empty body wash, some lights didn't work
-
Location is perfect The building itself is very old and stairs are literally a joke
-
Good and spacious room. Near Tram and train Steep and narrow staircase. No elevator
-
The bathroom could've used some renovation

Very well connected. Friendly staff They originally assigned me a room on the 4th floor without elevator. Impossible for me. But they had a free room in the basement which was more easily accessible and very large. So all good in the end.

Everything, location and cleanliness especially Nothing

near the noisy street

I didn't realize there was no elevator. I had a very heavy suitcase and I was on the 3rd floor. There should be a warning when you book. Need a ramp to the entrance. I used the chat feature and never got a response.

It's very noisy up until 3-4 a.m., and it's hard to sleep. We were told because of the concert hall nearby. This is the reason for the overall rating.
