This place is still very much under renovations in some areas. Construction material very visible and rooms seemingly still being remodeled. The room itself looked new but was extremely pungent. Think glue fumes or heavy cleaner, no idea what but was so strong that we requested a refund as we could not think of remaining in the room for any amount of time.

When I booked the room, the website said that there would be a heated pool, full service restaurant, bar, and free wi-fi. The pool restaurant and bar will all being renovated and not available. The Wi-Fi was very sketchy. It was very difficult to watch a TV show. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very nice. When we went to get our complimentary breakfast, the food was fresh, hot, and tasty, but there was no hot water available for tea. When we asked for hot water, we were given warm tap water. We will never stay at the lake House resort in Angola again.

The pool was not open or the restaurant and bar! The place was still under renovation. At breakfast they had only scrambled eggs! Sausage gravy but no biscuits! No breakfast meat at all! They said it’ll be a year before the restaurant/ bar would be opened! The room was nice but the air conditioning was very noisy and the tub drained very slowly.

Hotel is in the middle of the remodel and there is no amenities except breakfast. That was what it was, understanding that the hotel is not busy since it is a work in progress. There is no cable tv and internet is very spotty. No ice machines were available. Also, there is no pool or gym due to the remodel. The rooms were clean. So for a quick stopover hotel is nice.
