I like the location and terra The rooms were much smaller than what I expected for two people. In addition to that the staff played music on the terrace outside of our room, have a conversation was almost impossible because they don’t speak English and they smoked on the terrace. Lastly I booked and paid on booking and they charged my brother again when he arrived. I told The from desk about this but she doesn’t speak English and I haven’t heard back.

Great location and friendly staff, clean rooms. Bathroom is a bit small

Terasse, music played by hosts and dj-s at the same time. Comfy bad, little balcony outside my room. Thing to consider, if it's mid-season and not sunny, the hot water may be absent))

The best assets of this hotel are a) its excellent location in the old town short walk to the marina and places where Guy Ritchie's film 'Operation Fortune', starring Jason Statham, was filmed, and b) Sunduz, the kind, helpful and lovely lady on reception. I wouldn't say I didn't like, just that the sink had cold water, and on New Year's Day, 1.1.25 there was no hot water in the shower. But, since cold water showers are meant to be healthy I braved it and went on a guided city tour. Also, if you want good sleep, bring ear plugs, very loud music played everynight at the closeby restaurants. All good really!

    Exceptional

The lady at the reception, Sunduz is a nice and sweet lady. We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights, but decided to leave after the first night, even though we have paid everything upfront. The hotel does not agree with partial refund for the nights we did not stay. - There was DJ playing loud music right on the rooftop of this hotel, in which the guests' purpose is to rest. We complained at 1am but the party still went on for a while before the music stopped and windingup still took some time before we could actually sleep, plus we had to wake up early for a day tour:( - The rooms are very small with damp smell, there was barely place to open your suitcase. AC not functioning, we were feeling cold in the room - Bathroom has the smallest sink we have ever seen, we would hardly manage to wash face and brush teeth. Bathroom door lock is broken too - No hot water for shower, so we had to take cold bath during winter time

    Pleasant

It was clean and comfortable and the receptionists were very friendly. It has a nice outside area with places to sit and relax and meet other travellers and a lovely relaxing bar. I’d recommend this place

    Superb

Location and staff especially Sunduz who was very helpful in ensuring our stay comfortable. All major tourist points are at walking distance from the Hotel. Compact and small rooms

    1. It was clean. 2. It is really very centrally located near loads of restaurants, shops, markets and even historic points of interest (within walking distance!) 3. Staff are friendly and helpful (trying their best, with limited English.) 1. Although the size is indicated, you really do not realise just how small it is, until you get there. Bathroom reminds of being on an aeroplane. 2. NOISE - NOISE - NOISE. Prepare yourself for noise until at least 02:00 or 03:00 every single night (sometimes later). And I mean BLASTING NOISE from restaurants directly adjacent to SOLO. You will get very little sleep. 3. No room cleaning unless you ask. On the advertisement, it seems it's daily - without the need to ask. 4. Although the lady is really friendly and tries her utmost to help and assist, the language barrier is real, and you'll have to communicate using Google Translate, which got really irritating and frustrating for me. On booking.com they indicate the staff can speak English. 5. As if it's not small enough (you'll have to shuffle your way around the room) there's obviously not a lot of maintenance done on small things which will take little time to fix. Trust me - if you stay 5 nights, with constant NOISE, these little things matter. Hooks hanging loose, toilet seat loose.... 6. Coffee house on site is advertised, but we bought cappuccino once, which tasted like cr@p! Didn't even look close to a cappuccino! For 100TL x 1. Total rip-off. After that, we just bought 3-in-1 sachets of coffee at the convenience store and asked for cups and boiling water. Much better!

Location A DJ plays obnoxiously loud music on the roof top bar until 2am and the rooms are not soundproof at all which made it impossible to sleep. We booked 5 nights here but left after 1.

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

Was extremely noisy as its next to the bars which didn't stop playing music till 3am or later. Staff also weren't very helpful. Had booked a larger room, but they initially provided the smallest room.

    Very good

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

It was clean, up to date and I liked the extras ie the slippers for instance. The taxi dropped us off a long way from the property which is in narrow streets that not many taxis, except perhaps the little yellow ones, can access.

    Very good

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

Location is great and staff are very helpful and nice The room was very small, the bathroom is tiny as well. But the biggest issue was that it was literally not possible to sleep until 3 in the morning. There was a party on the rooftop of the hotel (extremely loud) AND also loud music in the restaurant right in front of the hotel. We were exhausted from traveling but still were not able to sleep almost the whole night

Great location, good people watching from the public balcony. Lovely hosts and really nice breakfast included. Very nice king sized bed Lots of street sounds like live music from across the street but we enjoyed that for the duration of our stay. There are room options that face the side instead of the front.

Only location - I can not think of anything else. I stayed the second time in the old city, but because of this property it was the last one, I do not want to risk my vacation, money and time anymore. 1. photos are misleading, looks like the renovation was done quite a long time ago 2. there is no terrace - can see it in my photos, there is a night club now, yes, it is a night club, not a bar, the whole building was shaking up until 1am, it was not written on booking and was never mentioned 3. very loud - restaurant in front of the hotel (which I expected) and the bar/club on the rooftop 6. floor was dirty - it was sticky, it was disgusting to walk bare foot The worst part was of course rooftop bar, I managed to stay there for 2 nights, but it was a nightmare. I was with an old mother and I was worried about her, because she could not sleep for 2 nights, me as well of course. So I ran away, even though I booked 3 nights. So I booked a new place and left, so me and my mother could just rest a little. But yes, the whole trip was destroyed, never again....
