A bit there and here needs to be fixed, repaired

Location and private veranda The unfinished trend of cement walls in the bathroom with black tiled floors made for an uncomfortable experience wondering if the bathroom was actually clean. Hand bidet kept running out of water... Towels and bed linen were washed but heavily stained. Service was nowhere to be seen on most occasions. Only saving grace was the private veranda.

Facing paddy fields Booked two suites with private pools. There was no welcoming vibe at the reception, and check-in took a long time. The pools were unusable due to excessive chlorine. The AC wasn’t working in one suite, and they moved us to a deluxe room facing the paddy fields. Around 11 PM, we ran out of water, and the Wi-Fi stopped working at the same time. The AC remote was barely functioning due to low batteries. We made several calls, but no one answered at the main desk. I eventually had to leave the room to find water, only to realize that all the lights in the surrounding area were switched off. I had to walk in complete darkness to reach the main office, even passing a snake on the path. Apparently, the office closes at 10:30 PM, leaving the entire area in darkness, which was quite surprising for a hotel. Fortunately, I found a security guard who kindly provided some water bottles. Breakfast had good food options, but the dining area was full of flies and not properly maintained. Overall, this place is not as good as advertised and is definitely not worth the price.

Exceptional stay! The staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable experience. A major highlight was the dining—delicious and high-quality breakfast. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-tier hospitality and great food

Access to ruins. Adequate as a hotel during transit. Good water pressure in the shower. Old furniture that requires a fresh coat of paint or stain.

Hotel is outside the main activities/city, but close by if you take tuk tuk or a taxi. Breakfast was an overkill, just too much food and I would recomend them checking in with guests if they want to eat everything they offer before brining/cooking it. For a short stay I would defo recomend, for something longer I would try to find something else tbh. Breakfast, even thou great and tasty was an overkill with just way too much food. Apart from that - lovely short stay location.

The location is great, although you can hear the heavy traffic from the main road. So, if you are planning to book this place for the peace and quiet of the garden area and balcony view like I did, think again. The room was spacious but poorly cleaned. The pillows and bed sheet were dirty and smell like other people slept in it. There was a problem with the solar panel on the roof, which made loud sounds at night, so we barely sleep. The restaurant tables were very dirty. The food was not great. Probably the only place we didn’t enjoy on a two weeks trip in SL.

One of the best stays in Sri Lanka and 8 have been to the country three times already

Location is convenient to go to Anuradhapura sacred temples Not clean. Staff is not attentive. They mostly entertain outside visitors to restaurant for alcohol drinks. There was vomit in restaurant. They did not bother to clean it up for more than an hour. They expect residents to eat at restaurant while vomit and bad smell was there in the restaurant. Staff is rude to locals. They try to please foreigners and alcoholic locals only. Not family friendly
