A bit off the main road, but not too far and a feeling of peace without a bunch of noise. Really, really great staff. Outstanding breakfasts. Very nice common areas with a fridge in room and restaurant on site as well. The view from our room’s terrace was also very nice. . A few of the light fixtures in our room seemed to be for looks rather than actual light. The room did have some artsy and tasteful elements which was nice.

Clean and very quiet. Lovely surroundings in a suburban street. Good breakfast.

Location good - in the quiet leafy suburbs of an otherwise busy town. Liked the balcony but shame the furniture had not been cleaned. Very helpful lad in charge. No evening meal available - chef had apparently gone home as we were the only guests on our first night.

Lovely place, huge rooms and and the kindest people. Honestly the rooms on the second floor have such an amazing and relaxing vibe with the dark wood windows and the view over the trees. If you take a tuk-tuk it's only few minutes from the main street of the town but still in a calm street without all the traffic The staff was very nice, not only they arranged for us a safari to wilpattu which was much cheaper than what you can find online, but the guide was also a great expert and turned out to be a private tour for the two of us. They also prepared us a take away breakfast even when we had to leave at 5am.

Very nice rooms, spacious and spotless. The bathroom was big and great, with a shower cabin. The area around the home stay was calm och nice. Our room had an enjoyable balcony which fronted a nice green garden. The boy Malik helped us to arrange tuk tuk and a guide to the ancient city and to Mihintale.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, welcoming complimentary drink to the room, good breakfast, room is very spacious and comfortable, the terrace is very cute, great to relax and an added bonus to the room. A male staff who gave us the contact of a "guide" to spend the day visiting the ancient city misguided us as he wasn't a guide but only a tuk tuk driver and knew no information.

London Palace is a peaceful guesthouse in a quiet sidestreet. The room was clean and bright, with doors opening onto a balcony with a green leafy outlook. Really good size room, with desk, dressing table, open wardrobe, ceiling fan, air con, bar fridge (so nice to come back to cold drinks after being out in the heat!!) and a very comfortable bed with mosquito net. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they arranged a lovely Tuk tuk driver called Pala for a couple of half-day trips to the Anuradhapura ancient city and Mihintale. Nice food with lots of options to choose from, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks for your hospitality! The internet was a bit patchy.

The accommodation was great! The owner and staff keep this property in excellent condition. Pesonal is willing to help at any time. They provided us with a good man for tours of the monuments and the city. The waiter Imalka made us admire how he coped with everything. Accommodation is close to monuments and the city. ? All it’s OK

We passed through here on a cycling adventure around this beautiful country, the staff were extremely accommodating of our situation and did everything they could to make our very short stay work well, we really appreciated their kindness.
